I sent an email to the visa office in Vienna asking how long the visa issuance would take, and they replied quickly saying that it takes a couple of days.
Then they also asked me to provide two passport size photos. Glad that I asked before I send out my passport!!

Sent to VFS london - 23-may-2014
Passports reached at Canada Visa office London - 28-May-2014
Passports returned and reached home - 13-June-2014

I have a question about the two passport size photos. They didn't mention that it must be a recent photo, should a date be stamped on the back??

They asked for two 'passport size photos'... I checked and found that Canadian passport size photos are 50mm X 70 mm with the face height from 31mm to 36mm, but the photo for PR card is 35mmX45mm with face of 25mm to 30mm...The other kind of photos for visa applications are 35mmX45mm with the face of 31-36mm.....

Guys please help, which one should I take? And what kind of photos did you provide?

Don't send passport sized photos. Send immigration photos. 35x45mm - this is the photo size which you used when you sent your application in August. I was also confused from the email, but then I checked with others who have received CoPR. The photo will be glued to your CoPR, so I saw their CoPR and found out it is 35x45mm.

I have also mailed cic regarding visa stamping at other office.Actually i stay in India and my husband is in Canada.They sent us a passport request on 5th june 2014 buti being in india need to submit the passport in my home country as we cnt send passport through courier outside our country.We have mailed cic on 5th june 2014 but still no reply.I am wondering why is it taking so long.Can anyone answer me

I got my PPR on 23-May and sent an email for VO change to New Delhi on 26-May.
Since then.. i am waiting and waiting and waiting.. Already sent 2 reminders to CPC.
Let's see. All the best.

Meanwhile i would suggest you keep 2 Photo's ready(coz they might ask you to submit it with your PP @ New Delhi).
