I can not tell you whether your wife should renew her contract or not, but:
*yes - you can travel to Canada with your COPR and visa, and land without your wife. You could even go to Canada, land, and go abck to Korea until your wife is done, and then move to Canada. Quite a few applicants do that, as sometimes they are required to land quickly before expiry of the visa, but it takes time to wrap everything up before leaving a country.
*status showing decision made: I suppose you have decision made for the sponsor part, not for the PR itself. If you log with the file number ( starting by F) + applicant information (your last name, no first name, no initial), you can see also the part about the PR application.
*When CIC requests your passport, it's difficult to know how long it will take. In your case, your case is being handled in Manila, who usually asks for the passport at the beginning of the process. it can be at the embassy for several months before they take a decision - and being asked for a passport is not necessarily a sign that the visa has been granted (for some VO, it is as they only ask for passport when they are ready to issue the visa, but Manila has a different process).
*you can not ask them to grant you PR before your wife's contract ends. they will issue the visa when they have assessed your file, regardless of the time that it takes, and whether it would be practical at that time for you, or not.

Good luck,
Sweden

yes - you can land, and return to Korea. WHen you're landing, they will ask you at which address you want to receive the card - you can give your wife's family address. If they get the card while you're still in Korea, they can send it to you. (just don't make it too obvious that your PR card is in the package), and you can return to Canada with your wife later on.
If you need to go to Canada before the card has arrived, you can apply for a travel document that will state your status as PR, so you can go to Canada without the PR card even if you're not visa-exempt to Canada.

For the healthcare card: it depends on the provinces so depending on where you will settle, it might be different. But in general most provinces have a 3 months waiting period (except for Alberta, and BC in some cases), and you have to be in Canada... but technically you could land, go to the healthcare provider and apply for the card, and then leave Canada - but I'm not sure how it works for healthcare.

Your PR application file number is on the sponsorship letter/email: you will find the UCI for the sponsor (8 digits number), and a file number (starting with F).

Good luck,
Sweden

if you're from a visa-exempt country, you are asked to send your passport, and they will put a visa in it, and send it back with the COPR when it's issued.
