Dear Simran,Rj Simran said:Hi all,
Recently my visa was rejected for the following reason. I have applied for MBA in business administration and also got a scholarship of $5000
Purpose of visit
Proposed course is not reasonable in light of past and present studies
My profile is
10th - 57%
12th - 67%
Graduation- 58%
P.g in business administration - 60%
P.g done from distance learning and after graduation I have 5 years of experience first in a hospital for 4 years and then in a manufacturing company for 1 year
While I was working in a hospital I did
P.g in hospital management which is 1 year course sponsored by the hospital
Now I have applied for MBA in business administration. They rejected my application for this reason only.
Can anybody suggest what to do. And where I am lacking behind?
Regards
Simran
It seems that your SOP was not good enough. Also please note that the Visa Officer (VO) has only got 15 minutes to go through your application. This means that he/she will probably read your SOP very quickly and try to make out why you want to study for an MBA. I have a suggestion for you. If you want to re-apply, you should do so very quickly. Please read through the rejection letter very carefully.
If the VO has only ticked on the box that "proposed studies are not reasonable" then you are in luck, because that means that the VO does not think that you have weak family ties in your home country and only your SOP and why this course is good for you is the issue.
So firstly write your SOP starting with the opening statement that your earlier visa application was rejected because of "proposed...." and you would like to outline why this course is good for you and relevant for you. You should answer the following questions very carefully.
Study Plan:
Why do you wish to study in Canada in the program for which you have been accepted?
What is your overall educational goal?
Why are you not pursuing a similar program in your country of residence or citizenship?
How will this program enhance your employment opportunities in your country of residence or citizenship?
What ties do you have to your country of residence or citizenship?
If it has been more than two years since you have left full -time education, please provide your C.V.
Please make sure that you answer them fully. If needed, use the questions as essay questions and write them on your SOP. Or look through this forum for best practice SOP samples. But please write the SOP fully. Please remember even if you reapply 1 day earlier, you will get your visa 1 day earlier. So apply quickly, but be calm and read the rejection letter at least 10 times before re-applying, so that you know exactly why your visa was rejected.
Thanks
