Visa rejection for University Master's student

Hello All,

My Cousin brother has applied for a student visa and he got rejected due to:
1. first travel reason and
2. Not bonafide student and would not leave Canada at the end of stay.

he showed almost 35 K as university program fee is 15K for 2-year. Father and mother both are working professional. Has two younger brothers studying in University and College. He got M.A.Sc admission without funding.

Is anyone in on the forum got this situation, kindly let me know how they have addressed it.

What's the rest of his profile? IELTS score, past education and work experience, etc.

IELTS didnt give as its not student visa requirement and University has accepted as his medium of instruction English.

BE (telecommunication) from Pakistan 2013: 67%
Working in telecommunication firm
M.A.Sc University of Victoria (Electrical and Computer Science Dept.) under supervision of a Prof., not funded


What do you think where he is lacking? Applying today for GCMS notes but need to wait 1-month,

I heard that going for University has more visa approval chances. Is it true? In terms of getting visa approval, does it matter whether someone chooses canadian university or canadian college?

And, does the ranking of the institution matter? (e.g. A good-quality institution VS an average/low quality one) .

Honestly,,,,this is really Creepy. Y did he got a rejection ?
Everything looks great to me. Now i am worried about my cousin...he is going to apply next week.

I'm from India and applied to Queen's.
The reason for rejection
1. Not enough finanace to pay tuition fee
2. Past course and prospect course do not match

I had shown loan papers for tuition fee which covered total tuition fee.
I did not write any SOP because on my online form there was no section for it.
Did not mention any sponsor because, once again, there was no sponsor. I applied by myself so did not know the process very clearly

First, I couldn't buy the reason of rejections because since I already have all my tuition fee covered how can they say I will be unable to pay?
Also, how can they decide whether course is relevant or not? They could have asked more documents from me

However, I feel there were some lapse from my side.
Anyways guys please suggest me should I reply now with stronger documents or do you guys think I should defer my admission for a year and then reapply next year. I do not want to risk for second rejection.

I want to reapply only if there are significant chances of me getting accepted visa.
One consultant mentioned that chances could be improved if taken loan from designated banks and payed the first sem fee through them.
