VISA office in IMM 008

I read couple of postings on the forum which said that if VISA office is filled as INDIA in the imm0008e generic (Permanent Resident Application Form) then you get a rejection because right VISA office is New Delhi and not India

Can any one share his/her experience

I am think I am on path of getting rejection

Actually after reading this thread only, I started this thread. I also read one of the postings from ELAR regarding same.

Also I have a question now,

The logic says that u have to wait at least to receive sth from CIO about ur application...then u start the new operation....

I am not sure about this. sorry. I hope they wouldnt be that strict because ND is the only office in India.
But if this is considered a mistake to be denied then only thing you can do is to wait. Sorry that I couldn't be more helpful.

Ankit, Read the guide too.

for India you must have to write New Delhi. dont think too much or dont write Inida.

I think it is also possible that they accept your application. Any hopes or u 100% sure for application return?

There is hope till I get the rejection letter

But reallistically we have seen two cases on this forum who he ave reported returned application because of this issue.

I and Canada1234 are waiting for response with this mistake. So we will have more data after we hear back from CIO

Dear friend, I actually also did the same mistake & so me too in the same ship

But do u have any idea that they return same Demand Draft along with application to us so that we can use it again in reapplying?

My lawyer leave the Visa office column blank instead of filling New Delhi. What would be the effect? I am waiting for AOR since 26th of October-09. Kindly suggest?

Something to cheer. I am not sure about the draft status. Why don't you try contacting ELAR and candiur. These guys have posted regarding return of application because of Visa office being the coutry name and not city
