I applied in Canada for a student Visa, and they requested my passport. I have to travel outside the country and go back home. Can I use the same passport request at the Canadian embassy back home ( within the 30 days time frame to submit passport), or will I have to apply for a new application.

@22past2 I was in contact with the embassy and so far from what they told me is that your file can be transferred to an embassy outside Canada if you can prove that you are leaving for an emergency situation, such as family emergency, family death etc. You will have to provide proof from doctors, or a death certificate. Even then it is up to the visa officer whether they accept or not. Otherwise, your best option is to send your passport here and wait. Process should take about 14 days plus mailing time
