Hi All,

I hold a WP and worker VISA. I plan to bring in my mother with me here as she is alone in India and dependent on me.
I guess Visitor visa is the only option for her and i heard maximum period she could stay with the visitor visa is 6 months.

My question is ,can I extend my mother's visitor visa while she is in Canada before the expiry?

Thanks,
footyluv

- Yes, her only option is a visitor visa.
- How long she is allowed into Canada for is up to the immigration officer she speaks to when she enters. But yes, the maximum she can get is six months.
- Yes, she can apply for an extension. There is no guarantee the extension will be approved.

This is same case your.

My mother is already in Canada and will be completed six month sooner in March.

I am preparing application for her to stay another 6 month in Canada.

Hello Forum members,

I need your advice.

My mother-in law (my wife's mother) in Nigeria just got a 2year multiple visiting (B1/B2) visa to U.S to visit her son. However she will like to accompany my wife who is a Canadian Pr living in U.S right now, to Canada when she arrives in U.S

Can my mother-in law get a Canadian TRV in U.S with a valid visiting U.S visa in her passport without waiting to get the TRV at Canadian High Commission in Nigeria?
