When we apply online we get two mails from the CIC stating that we have new message in our portal.
Those two messages basically are submission confirmation message and transmission of application to the embassy message.
Then later on perhaps the same day or next day you’ll get an email saying that your application is updated. When you open the gckey portal and see nothing has changed don’t panic because it is a ghost update. They have updated something in the background.
Wait for the next update message which should be for medical.

I have received these emails exactly as u mentioned. I received within 5 days of my application. But now thing is since 20 days, there is no medical update. How long do u think it should take? I am working in Dubai and have already resigned and will be leaving the company in a week. My all stakes are on this visa. So its tempting how long this is taking.
I submitted my application on July 28th, 2018, i have done Bio-metrics but up till now i have not heard any update from VFS. My application is more than 13 weeks though the processing time as at the time of submission was 12 weeks? Is anyone in my shoe. Pls Help
I have applied on 12 September in delhi embassy medical is passed but review not started yet so what should i do?

I have applied for a study permit to Canada on september 28 2018 and on October 31 my application status says that my passport has been Couriered from the canada Visa Application center and also on October 29 I received an email from CIC about my biometrics validity which states about my biometrics is valid of 10 years and also it states about this letter won't allow me to enter Canada without a valid passport or travel document even if i have this letter and also states about this letter won't allow you to enter or remain in Canada. Eligibility and admissibility to canada will be based on current Canada border service agency procedures upon entering Canada it's says like this then after 2days of receiving this email my passport has been Couriered from the canada Visa Application center am really Confused is my visa application approved or rejected even i didn't submit medical examination I applied from China Guangzhou and am a student in china from Ethiopia please any one Help me out am really stressed right now?

I applied on 12th October SDS online. Medical not passed yet.
I won't be the best person to advice on this as i have never experienced it. But i can suggest you to ask some consultant about this situation. and moreover if you receive the passport, it will be clear if your visa is approved or not by the stamp on your passport. Wish you good luck.
Yes brother i guess so cause the letter states about eligibility and admissibility to canada will be based on current Canada border service agency procedures upon entering Canada...hope the Visa is approved
