My boyfriend's visitor visa expired May 11 (after living here for 6 months) but May 5th he submitted and a0plication to extend it. On July 13 he got a refusal letter saying he cannot extend it because he does not have his medical exam results. Since he is officially an illegal foreign visitor now he must leave the country. We are wondering if it's a good idea to go to Kenmore near Bufallo to get his Canada immigration medical exam there and return to Canada with the results and ask the border officer to get another visitor visa into Canada. has anyone experienced this? Thank you. any help is much appreciated.

Did 1 year working holiday visa Feb 11 2017 to Feb 11 2018. but got a visitor visa Jan 11 2018 to May 11 2018
Hmmm he doesn't qualify for a visitor Visa because he's holding a SK passport. He could try to apply for a ETA online and it doesn't take long to be approved
Hi. He already has an E and got his Visitor Visa because of it...but his visitor visa already expired in May. His extension was refused last week because he was missing a medical form. Can he get the medical form in the US (we live in Toronto) come back to the Niagara falls boarder with his results and get a new visitor Visa? or allowed to stay for at least 3 months?
Oh you mean a visitor visa record? Well he can try to get a new visitor via record from the border but he needs to be prepared of the questions asked by the border officers. They will need to know what his purpose of visit to Canada and how much funds he is carrying for his visit.
Hi Yes, he received a visitor visa record because he applied for 3 months from Feb 11 to May 11. He is aware that he must explain that he wants to spend the summer here because we have 4 weddings to go to and wants to see more of Canada, however If they dont let him in for some reason wpuld he be stuck in buffalo and have to fly home from there? He complied with everyrhing and it's his first ever visa extension. He was just missing the medical which is wants to get in the US jist so he can stay the summer in Canada.
If your boyfriend is denied entry into Canada, he will have to find his way back to SK from the States.
To clarify, he did not have a visitor visa. He had visitor status.
It's a bad idea to leave Canada. He needs to do the medical here ASAP and apply for Restoration of Status as a visitor.
