Visa cancelation

Hello,

My wife and I had both an open work permit (Working Holiday Visa) that expired in June and before the due date, my wife applied for a Study Permit (1-year college) and I for an extension of my work permit (through my wife's application).

If she cancels her enrolment at the college, will my work permit be canceled as well, or because I had a work permit before it will not?

Were those application approved? If not, they will be refused and you will be out of status.

Have you landed (flagpoling ) or leaving Canada and returning. If your spouse does not attend school her school should inform IRCC and her study permit would get cancelled. If hers can get cancelled then your WP may also get cancelled. Even if the permits doesn’t get cancelled there will certainly be concern about any of your applications going forward. There will be extra scrutiny. IRCC doesn’t like it when people try to play games with the immigration programs. There were other ways to obtain a WP but you chose this one knowing your partner had no intention in studying.
