Hello, I have a question about virtual landing. So, the latest update on my GC key says, "final decision". Its showing this since 7 March 2025. I put up an inquiry in May the agent on call said. "Your PR was approved, and you are in que for virtual landing". What does that mean? I have not received any update or portal or anything since 7 March. Can anyone please explain what is happening and what can I do about it? This wait is crazy, is there any timeframe or what?

This means that you're in queue to receive portal 1 and portal 2 emails.

Portal 1: you confirm that you're physically present in Canada and other personal information like address, height, eye color, etc.
Portal 2: you confirm the address where you want your PR card to be mailed and submit a photo for the PR card.
eCoPR: electronic confirmation of permanent residency. You're now officially a PR.

These three steps are what's called a virtual landing process. It is highly recommended that you don't leave the country between P1 and eCoPR because could create some issues and delays in your entire application.

These are the common timeframes between each process based on other people's timelines:

Final decision to P1: 1 day - 1 week
P1 to P2: 3 - 6 weeks
P2 - eCoPR: 2-14 days
eCoPR to PR received: 4-6 weeks

There is a long backlog of people waiting for landing in some programs and IRCC is slowly landing people over the year. Although you may have your final decision it could still be months until people get P1.
