Hi All,

I'm happy to share my husband got the COPR by snail mail last week. It was totally unexpected as we were sure there would be an interview. And it also didn't occur to us that since he is from a visa-exempt country there would be no passport request. Both of us are still in happy shock.
He will be wrapping things up at his place of work and fly here asap.

I read over some comments about shredding of docs- I guess it's true that Miss. probably removes everything they deem unnecessary (like > 100 pics of wedding). Our lawyer had warned us about that, so we included only 30 pages of chat, 10 pages of emails and about 30 pics taken at different stages and places. Even the pics were printed on regular size paper- 4 in one page, with descriptions below.

For all future applicants: it's the quality of proof that matters- not qty. Even if you include a chat conversation from the 1st of every month you're apart- that is enough.

All the best to everyone here. I wish you all success and pray you will be together with your love soon :)

Congrats!!!!

I would assume close. Sounds like they are looking at your file! When did your husband do his medical? Fingers crossed you are done soon!! They still haven't responded to my emails about going to get the visa in person. Im getting worried :( it is now Thursday and I wrote them on Monday!

We did our medical last December on the fifth. But I got an email and it said meanwhile my husband is doing the medical they want me to pay my resident landing few. Is this good news maybe something is close. Any thoughts anyone please input.

What is the situation in Vienna? How long are you waiting for?

We are in the last stages of our aplication wegot an email to submit the ARC authorization to return to canada form.
My question is if anyone knows about the TRV temporary resident visa they are asking for and if we need that too We wrote in our application my husband has 2 passports and one is visa exempt one isnt. so can we just use the one that is visa exempt and skip the whole TRV application?

Hi mirjana.Ilija,

My husband received the same email, letting him know that the application process was in the last stages and that he needs an ARC. He is not from a visa exempt country so we submitted the TRV application, but were told to just complete the forms and send a paper application instead of going through the online TRV process. I am not sure if your husband would need to apply for TRV, I guess it probably depends on the passport that he included with his original PR application, and the nationality he listed on those forms.
We received the request for ARC on November 11th and sent everything in around November 20th and now we are waiting....I'm curious about your time line for ARC
I'm hoping the process for ARC is quick, being the end of the year...does anyone have any other experience with ARC application?

I would say good news. Why else would they request a medical if it was not close to the end. I would do everything they ask for as fast as possible.

We received confirmation from an actual human (not computer generated email) saying my husband has been approved and we are allowed to come to the embassy to pick up his visa. We are so excited!! We will be doing this at the end of the month so I will let everyone know how that goes. For those wondering, we are currently out of my husband's country of residence so we do not want to send his passport by mail.

Congratulations!
So happy for you and your husband!
When you go to Vienna ask them to speed up our cases :)

There's couple of the forum members who applied or they're applying for an arc through Vienna.
The process takes couple of months because the immigration program manager has to review the arc applications and there's members who have been waiting for more than 6 months for their arcs to be processed
I wish Vienna was as fast as Mexico with dealing with arcs because lot of people from Mexico get their arcs approved in like couple of days or weeks

Does anyone know approximately from PR "in process" till "Decision made" it takes?

Thanks!

My CoPR has arrived!

Sent to Mississauga on June 8th, received COPR on November 11th. That's 156 days total processing, 123 of which in Vienna. Very quick and efficient, and very unexpected that all was done before the end of the year.

Is your husbands ARC due to deportation or exclusion order? We applied a few weeks after you and our recent GCMS notes show no activity yet. I figured it's because of the Removal order but When I see your progress I'm a bit concerned about why our file is not moving.
TRV request? Temporary Resident Visa makes little to no sense when applying for ARC in context with permanent residence app. I've not heard of this. But you may need counterfoil if passport shared in app requires visa even if there's 2 passports. I hope you share outcome re: TRV request in context with ARC.

Is your husbands ARC due to deportation or exclusion order? We applied in July and our recent GCMS notes show no activity yet. I figured it's because of the Removal order but when I see other's progress who have ARC requests I'm a bit concerned about why our file is not moving.
I'm also confused. Why TRV request? Temporary Resident Visa when applying for ARC in context with permanent residence app? I've not heard of this. My husband is from visa exempt country. Does this mean he is exempt from this step?

I received an e mail from Vienna to send a passport. The letter is six pages. :) i will send my passport tomorow. My status page says still in process, no DM, no Medical ...
I'm so happy. Our process in Vienna began on September, 2. Who has similar timeline can soon expect some good news. I wish you all good luck. :D :D
