Thank you so much for your input. I noticed you're FSW-I wish you a speedy process...

Hubby decided to drive to the closest VAC centre And pay for secured Passport transmission (I hope IT truly is 100% guaranteed... I wonder if they use a courier or a personal driver who comes like once a week, which I doubt)... If you have experience with VAC passport drop off/pick up anyone pls let me know...

I used VAC center in Sarajevo for my visitor visa. They send them (there) once a week using a courier, and get them back once a week. I signed a paper when I gave them the passport (application), got one half to save, and gave the paper back when they called me to pick up the passport. No problems with them - at least I had less problems with them than with Canada post.

Anyone here who have applied under FSW.

I applied in Ausguts 2014, got PER Dec 7th but since then nothing. I did not even received AOR from LVO.
I am living and working in Canada at the moment, do I need to send them email about the status?

Ok good! Montenegro VAC is half as far as Sarajevo for him, I hope it'll be accepted there as he has a Bosnian passport... Thanks for the reassuring info! :)

Sending +ve vibes to all again & again!!

Spaceexp, I forgot to ask you how long the VAC transmission took? I noticed your visa got stamped almost a month after sending passport in, but in our letter it says passport will be returned within 7 days, so I can't imagine it taking more than a week? Hubby still didn't give his 2 weeks at work until he sees the COPR with his own eyes, so I'm stressing his arrival will be delayed... I'm way too excited lol!! 8)

Is there any applicant here who applied under the caregiver program? Thanks

I used VAC for visitor visa, not for PR. For PR my paperwork was transferred to Ottawa for the final stage, and the visa was done in Ottawa, and it was holidays, they made some mistakes (we even had to include my hubby's MP).

My letter did say 7 days, too, but don't count on it. It can be any time from 1-4 weeks, that is why they say not to buy any tickets until you get your pp back. Plus, sometimes it happens that they send CoPR or visa with mistakes (it happened to quite a few people in "my batch"), and that just prolongs the wait time.

There is an option to go to Vienna in person, but someone else should explain that one, because I didn't use it.

I certainly hope he will get his in 7 days, though :)

This might be off topic, but if any of you guys from Bosnia are moving to BC, and want to get involved in the Bosnian part of the community here, send me a private message, so that I can send you some links with information ;D

Hey again,

Oh gosh, all the details one must take into consideration! The VAC responded that the process takes 24 hours but that makes no sense unless the courier stays from 10AM to 2PM to get the passport picked up same day; which clearly did not happen in our case as it's been >24 hours now. I hope there won't be mistakes. :o Thanks though.

Ps. You're lucky if you're near Vancouver, my dream city, maybe in the distant future lol

Hihi, I am very lucky, I'm very near Vancouver, and it's really beautiful here.

I am sure it will be all good with the VAC center. Good luck, and let us know when he gets it!

Hi

Have you ever written to Vienna ?!

If a person is coming from Visa exempt country, does the Visa Office still require from them to send the passport to VO for stamping or they just receive a document like COPR to their home address when the PR process is done? I am from Croatia and I have only received RPRF.
Thanks.
