gratzzz :)

I have two questions from you, when did they receive your documents? (the last set) and could you please explain how you sent your passport?

1) Vienna received our application on July 25th 2013.
2) I went to Vienna this Monday with my passport to get my PR! (When Vienna asked for my passport they mentioned that same day service was possible if I came myself.)

That's what I'm planning to do to. I received PPR email yesterday and want to go next Monday to Vienna for same day service. May I ask you, did they give you the COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence document) as well on the same day?

Mapleleafgirl and germany1, Did they request the police certificate and medical at the same time (in the same email) or did you get two seperate requests? I'm curious if I should expect a request for a new medical or if they might have extended it because I only got a request for a police certifocate, nothing else.

Thank you!

hi , I'm new on this forum, but I am following this for a long time.
Hi I am from Germany .

We applied in 28 june 2013
Medical In May 2013
Documents request in 8 October 2014
passport request in 15 October 2014
visa issued in 20 October 2014

Good luck to all !!!!! :D

Can i ask you, when they asked for your passport was it by email or actual letter? All of our correspondance has been by email so I am hoping passport request will be by email too.

Yay!!! Vienna is doing good, thank God! Congrats to all who are in process or are on their way home to their loved ones :)

Are there any more former refugees, besides myself, waiting for their Visa/COPR?

Congratulations! Did you already get your passport back after just one day? How did Vienna sent your passport? Did you have to sign for the package?

Thanks! Yes, I went to Vienna this Monday and got my passport back the same day. I dropped it off at 9:30am and they told me to come back at 3pm to pick it up. They also gave me my COPR at the same time.

I got both in the same e-mail. Maybe they extended your medical so that's gud news I think!

Hi!
I just received an e-mail requesting my passport. When they asked for a new police certificate and medical they had also sent the request by e-mail. My online status only changed to In Process last week and it still says In Process!! Hehe

Thanks for the reply, this is good news.

Looks like Vienna is awake, we've had a lot of correspondence from them in the past week. Congratulations to everyone who received news/PPR/visas!

Why did you get a passport request? I guess you are not German, right? Because Germans don't need a visa for Canada

Congrats to everybody with good news :D

October is an active Vienna months. That's great :)

Thanks for the quick reply! I hope so, that would save a lot of time and money! I will keep you all posted, looks like it might be fast after I send a new police certificate. Fingers crossed!

Thank you. I am a Romanian national, but have been living in Germany with my husband since 2009, that's why we applied through Vienna and not Bucharest.

We are very shocked about this, I was expecting for Vienna to ask more documents, like a renewed police certificate, or more proof for my husband of his intention of going back to Canada (he is a Canadian citizen living abroad and he doesn't have a job offer in Canada). But Vienna never contacted us until now.

I ordered GCMS notes in August, and nothing was started on my application. This means they completed everything within the last 2 months.

My advice to everyone that is preparing to apply, is to make sure you send in a tidy, well organized and complete application (including paying all the fees up front). This will surely save you a lot of time. And although we have been married for 6 years, we didn't send a lot of pictures or chats. We emphasized quality over quantity (no officer would enjoy reading through thousands of Facebook screen shots, in my opinion).

Again, good luck to everyone still waiting.

That's just wonderful! Congrats to you and enjoy settling-in - so exciting :)!

I had to sent a new police certificate which arrived in Vienna last week. My eCAS changed to decision made today. Now I'll have to wait for the official letter to find out about their decision.

Seen your posts before... Very happy for you!
