gabiroli,

why did they prolong your application? is it because there was a refugee refusal?????

Please do not forget that this audit happened in 2000 (14! Years ago). I'm sure quite a lot changed regarding their processes. Especially in the area of security screening (which I assume is one of the most time consuming parts) I would assume a way longer process these days than back in 2000.

i dont know, but im sure it doesnt takes months to do screening on one person. maybe if they do it in groups.

It must be is the backlog generating these long waiting times.

I agree that the processing time has in fact changed simce 2000 but not that long and not by 14+ months. I wnt through security and background check for my German residence permit two years ago and it took 45 days. I'm pretty sure it takes around the same time for Canada as well but we're stuck in the queue. What burns me is that I'm in a legitimate relationship and they have't even touched my application after 12 months and I know a guy who was deported from Canada 2 years ago and payed someone to claim that they are common-law partners and applied for him and his VO was Ankara and he got his visa a few weeks ago. He only had to wait 6 months >:(

I know a number of these shady cases as well, back in Toronto. These fake applicants fight tooth and nail, lie out their rears, and actually win in the end. As for the rest of us mortals? We sit and wait. Then again... good things come to those who wait. Stay positive yall. <3

I feel all by myself, feeling like I'm the only one going through Vienna!
It would be a good idea for all Vienna applicants to meet in one place (here) :)

Lets share our wait times here!

I send an email to them yesterday as my passport is about to expire so I requested a new one and I was wondering how to update them about the new passport info.

I got a reply today already! Which means they are working I guess...!
