Just want to let everyone know this morning my wife got her passport request.
It took just 27 days after her second medical so i think it has definately sped up the process since panel physicians have gone to e-medical

I want to thank everyone for their support, advice and friendships that have developed in this forum and with some to continue when we all arrive in canada. Even though we still have a bit to go...but from the day they receieved our app until today its been 439 days of ups and downs, joy and frustration.

Sometimes you wonder will this ever happen and when will it all be over. This is just too long of a wait and i hope they reduce waiting times in the near future for the ones just applying or in the middle of the process.

Once again thank you all and good luck to everyone that is in canada and to those still waiting.

Best wishes
Milan

Thanks Angie :) its really exciting time. Just have to find reasonable flights hahaha. Ive been over 10 times in the last 14 years and ive never seen such expensive tickets. Its insane. Prices are up 20-25% on tickets and everything is so limited. 48hrs in one direction with 2-3 layovers to get a reasonable price.

Yup, the worst time to travel is during the spring/summer season. Everything reasonable is already booked. Lol look on the bright side, I'd totally deal with a 48h flight, so as long as I know that it's worth it! =D
... and if the layover is in a cool city and lasts for half a day, make a small trip out of it!
My cousin is coming to visit me from NYC next week, and I've come to realize that flights from NYC to anywhere in the balkans is about 4-500 bucks cheaper than flying from Toronto for example.

(fyi i got something in the mail that i need to pick up and sign for tomorrow... nothing on my ecas is updated... I'm partially terrified, no matter how many times I tell myself that this is all in God's hands, I still can't get over the shock from my previous failed refugee case. That time, I came home to an envelope like that and had the shock of a lifetime... oy vey... praying that it's a bday gift from friends/fam in NYC instead LOL)

Hey guys.

Finnaly my wife is accepted. But she requires an arc to be able to come back. Do anybody know how long the ARC takes to process?

Even the interview wasn't flawless for my wife. She almost failed the interview because we had a court case because of our daughter. Because we couldnt agree who she is gonna stay with. But over all she passed the interview. We redid her medical back in march. They said they dont have it and they wanted us to redo it again for 3rd time. Couple days later i sent in a case specific inquiry about the case. They needed a new police certificate. A new medical, and arc processing fee of 280euros. An hour later they sent a another email saying that they have the medical. We already sent everything in it should arrive on monday.

So does anybody else has previous experience with ARC?

Best of luck to everyone.

I dint mind an extra layover but i dont want it coming back especially to land in toronto or montreal. If she lands and gets stuck in immigration for 2-3 hours at a more busy airport then miss our flight to calgary i have patience but not for that hahhahaga. I would rather pay the extra few hundred and have a piece of mind :)

Hi guys,

Do we have to inform CIC about speeding, parking tickets ( from New Zealand) and what if we have some due parking fines with ministry of justice ?

ministry of Transportation? or Justice?? If transportation no you dont have to tell CIC about it. unless your speeding ticket is something crazy that is a criminal charge than i would assume you have to

Depending on the country if you have outstanding tickets they issue a warrant for your arrest and im sure that would affect your police certificate. Depends are you a sponsor or being sponsored? Tourist visa? Workers visa?
