Thanks i hope i do too. Its so overwhelming. Yes we were asked for additional docs back in January (proof of ongoing communication). In Feb (new Pc and Medical exam).Med exam was sent in beginning of March and PC was sent in last week. I wanna know how much longer after this! I don't want any additional requests. Im fed up with it as its just delaying my process :( so dissapointed

You have delayed your own process.. sorry to say.. u should have sent PC earlier.. Anyways friend. dont worry .. result will come soon... as everyone says its only matter of time.

Thanks

Sometimes the PC gets delayed because it depends on the authority issuing it. In Germany, as you may very well know, it takes 3 weeks for the PC to be issued. I ordered mine on Oct. 3 and it arrived on Oct. 28. Add another week for the translation (because in most cases the PC isn't in English or French) and you have at least one month delay that is out of your control. On the other hand, in Romania you get it within half an hour after you make a written request at the nearest police station. Different countries have different bureaucracy levels.

@ GF10 - I believe you are almost done. You should expect PP request soon (or COPR in the mail if you are visa-exempt). A re-medical, new PC and proof of relationship are usually normal requests in the last stage of processing. Don't worry, stay positive and you should hear from them by the end of this month.

Thanks Avadava. Where I'm from it takes at least 3 months to get PC. And that's if you catch the party issuing it on a good day. My hubby had to pull some major strings and literlly beg to have it done before the 60 day deadline. Anyways thanks for the encouraging words! This is a forum where people don't really get the full story. But anyways any help to get you theough the day is appreciated :)

Did you just say this is a forum where people don't really get the full story?

There really is no need for an attack. You responding in this manner, just proves that you dont know the full story. I never once said people are not waiting as long as me!

Didn't really know this was the type of place where only a select few can vent their frustrations ;)

Everyone can vent and everyone has at one point or another but the way you made it sound is everyone else has it easy and you have it the hardest. Sorry for coming off like that i just woke up and your post was the first thing i read. In your previous post you mentioned you havent heard anything positive or negative from vienna in 15 months...without posting your timeline one seriously thinks they havent sent you anything. Maybe better choice of wording.

Sorry to say this, but it looks like you will have at least 1 more month of waiting...since the PC was sent in just last week. But, then again, you never know, you might get a nice surprise earlier. Stay positive, it's almost over, now it is just a matter of time. :)

No, i stated that at this point i just want to hear something, whether positive or negative. That way we (my hubby and myself) can plan accordingly. As you, and everyone on here knows, our lives are on limbo. It feels like someone is pulling off a bandaid and taking their sweet ass time. Didn't mean to offend anybody as that i would never belittle someone who is in the exact same position as me! If anything, we know how much this hurts, so why add to it.

From your mouth to God's ear! I can deal with a month, anything longer than that...well we've all been there lol

Hello everyone,

I have sponsored my parents and the application is currently in Vienna. This is the timeline:

Nov 16, 2009 - Applied to sponsor parents.
March 2012 - Asked for additional documents.
June 20, 2012 - Application determined complete.
Dec 24, 2012 - Received a letter that I have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor.
January 2013 - Received email from Vienna that application was transferred from the CPC Mississauga to office in Vienna.

Basically nothing happened since.

I emailed Vienna in November 2013 about the status of the application (9 months inquiry) and received a generic email "Processing times may vary, ...". I have written another email to Vienna in Feb 2014 to inquire about the status of the application - received automatic reply and nothing else.

I am at the point of worry and frustration. I phoned immigration Canada but they are just telling me to contact Vienna office. And as I mentioned already Vienna is simply not communicating - one generic email and one automatic reply.

Please provide me with some sort of advice and feedback.

Thank you!

Hi Numero0001,
as posted on CIC website the processing time for Vienna for parents/grandparents is 62 months.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-parents.asp
Sorry, but it t looks like you still have a long wait ahead of you.
Also, you might be able to get more help on the thread for parent sponsorship: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/parents-sponsership-joine-here-t91654.0.html
all of us here are sponsoring spouses.
good luck :)

Hii everyone
So, we got passport request on april 17
Sent it by DHL from Belgrade 2 weeks ago yesterday and were told Vienna will contact us when it ready for pick up. Passport arrived there in one day and since we have been waiting for that email
I wondered what took so long, and this morning my husband got a not in the mail that he has a registered mail to be pocked up in local post office.
Guess what it was.... Passport from Vienna and all the pics we sent
So they saved us around 45€ by sending it this way hehehe which is strange that they would send it like that and not by DHL (we did send a return sticker) but they didnt use it
Yaaaaay finally its all over

Has anyone herd from Vienna this week??
