Dear newpal, I just called Canada embassy in Vienna to ask something about sending passport, and woman there told me that they are not working today, because of the celebration of the 1st May. So, Monday is next working day. ;) I'm sure you'll get good news very soon! :)

Dear CVRCA thanks for reply. Can you please tell me on which no. have you called them.. I tried millions of time but my beloved Vienna officers never pickup the calls :P

Dear newpal,
I called +43 1 531 38 3000, and a woman picked up the phone. I also called two other numbers, but it was just an automatic speaker, without option to talk with somebody. ;)

It will be soon, I'm sure of it! Just a few days of patience away. I had some very sad days. Unexpected life turns, but trying to stay positive. Will be sending my passport to Vienna next week, I am looking forward to closing that chapter.

My Dearest Nada, i am doing fine.. where are you now? if in canada then where? Yeah I asked my wife if she go to MP's door and knock at it and ask about our app then that would be great.. But i am thinking to wait atleast 3 weeks, if nothing comes under 3 weeks, then definitely we had a plan to wakeup our MP :D

so hows life at ur end?
Hey Newpal, things are good, thank you. My husband arrived last week and we are doing great. He already started working so it's a little busy :). but he is adjusting well. We are in Mississauga, just a short drive from Toronto. :)
I hope you will hear some good news very soon, it's just a matter of time now...Vienna seems to be finalizing the applications. :)

Update: I landed today. Drove 3.5 hours down to Montana. Waiting time at the US border was 2 minutes, waiting time at the Canadian border was 1.5 hours. A lot of people despite the heavy snowfall.

I was surprised how many questions I was asked:

- my address and phone number
- what I did in the last few weeks (unemployed, visitor record)
- why I didn't work (work permit expired)
- asked again if I really stopped working (yes)i
- when I stopped (March 25th)
- where my visitor record is I applied for (at home, but stamp from April 3 is in passport)
- where I went (Alabama)
- why (to visit a German friend)
- how I supported myself in the last few weeks (savings)
- how many savings I have ($xx.xxx)
- how much money I made at work ($xx.xx)
- how I could build up such a high amount of savings (brought my savings from Germany and common-law partner works, too)
- how much money my common-law partner makes ($xx.xxx)
- where he works (golf course)
- what kind of job (Assistant Superintendent)
- when I will go back to work (next week)
- what kind of job I have and where (European Deli, clerical work)
- if we own property (yes, a condo)
- if it is registered in both of our names (yes)
- when we bought it (February 2013)
- when we moved in (May 2013)
- if I have a criminal record (no)
- if I have ever been refused entry into Canada or have been deported (no)

He probably realized that I would answer another 100 questions without hesitation so he stopped lol.

Afterwards he told me that I am a permanent resident now and could apply for citizenship in 2 years (because my two years on a work permit count as the 3rd year).

Then he told me about condition 51 and that I have to live with this guy (pointing on my boyfriend) for at least 2 years, otherwise I would get deported. Then he told my boyfriend when this happens he will face charges because of immigration fraud :o

I felt like being at an interview to get PR not to actually land as one.

But it's over now 8)

Hi katarina, you should post your question here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-b52.0/ (Canadian Experience Class)

This is the Family Class thread (where Canadian citizens or PRs sponsor their foreign spouses) and we don't know what questions are asked to a Live-in Caregiver interview. The interviews for family class are much different, as they focus of the relationship the spouses have with each other.

Honestly at this point I just want an answer! Whether positive or negative. I just want something. If i stop and think that its almost been 15 months since i applied, it drives me crazy! This is absurd as our lives are litterly on pauze

Please Vienna give us something, anything!

I'm sorry :-( Have you applied for GCMS notes yet? Have you received a PPR or did they just ask for additional documents?

I hope you hear from Vienna soon

Thanks i hope i do too. Its so overwhelming. Yes we were asked for additional docs back in January (proof of ongoing communication). In Feb (new Pc and Medical exam).Med exam was sent in beginning of March and PC was sent in last week. I wanna know how much longer after this! I don't want any additional requests. Im fed up with it as its just delaying my process :( so dissapointed
