No, no email, no letter :o
Do they send emails before they send refusal or COPR by mail?

I don't think you need a letter because whatever they send you can be sent by email and it's much faster.

Actually, when it is the COPR, that cannot be sent by email. COPR needs to be in original. Also, it is very possible that he doesn't get an email from them before issuing the COPR, since he is visa exempt and Vienna won't do a PPR. All he needs to land is his COPR and his passport.

Although, most visa exempt national get a request for a copy of the passport (bio data) to re-confirm identity with the VO and to make sure the COPR is issued in accordance to the details of the passport. But I'm not sure this is a requirement for all visa exempt passport holders.

@little_apple: you should ask the senior members of this forum about the request of the PP copy. You haven't got that request, right? You just saw "decision made" on ECAS with the mention they sent you a letter about the decision?

Received an email from Vienna: Please be informed that your immigration documents have been issued and sent by registered mail on 17 April 2014 to the following address in or record: *my old address*. Please note that registered mail usually takes up to 2-3 weeks to arrive.

OMG, it is over!!!! :D :D :D :D

I'm a she (Vanessa) but it's okay ;D
I never got PPR (visa-exempt) and the email from Vienna just arrived because I sent them an email on Monday asking what the next step is after decision made (I played Dummie lol). Now I hope someone at the old apartment can sign for it. I already informed my old landlord that my visa is on the way
