Great news!

My wife got her COPR yesterday, March 22nd. Wooo hooo!

Applied jan 18 2013
Request docs feb 1
Remed feb 7
Sent docs feb 22 to Vienna

One thing, on the copr it says Calgary, alberta for city of landing as that was where we were living when we originally applied. I have since moved to Vancouver and notified Vienna when I moved back in September. It even shows on the GMCS notes of the update.

What should we do? Does it matter she's flying into Vancouver? Email Vienna and get a new copr updated?

Also it says my wife should have proof of financial stability. Anyone have to deal with this? I mean it's not a problem but what exactly are they looking for (amount in bank account?)

Thanks for all the support over the past year everyone!

Any help would be great on the above-

Thanks !!!!!!!

And good luck to everyone who is in line. I'm happy we are out of the way for your applications now :-)

Congrats :) thats amazing!!! Did you have a PPR in that timeline?
First time ive heard of them asking for financial stability.

Congrats Willis, that's great news...All the best

I'm so happy to see people finally getting their COPRs from Vienna :) even I'm not one of them yet. Congrats

Now I must comment...we sent in everything exactly a month before Willis, so it looks like Vienna is on purpose skipping over some of us. :(
and I am freaking out that something is wrong.

I think it comes down to the visa officer

That's what I think, too - and the VO as well. Someone from another VO got approved within 3 months. Common-law sponsorship with half of the proof I submitted. They didn't even have a joint lease etc. and they received COPR without any more documents requested. In my case they doubt our common-law status and I'm so afraid to get a refusal. I don't think it's fair.

I wished every officer would work the same and accept/request the same documents. But nothing we can do...

Maybe your background checks take longer. Your will get your visa soon. Hang in there

I agree....and you will get that 1:1000 that has a connection with a minister or official. But the last couple weeks have been really hard...so close but you never know how much longer it will take :(

I would just like to know if they accept my additional proof I sent them. I'm willing to wait 6 more months if they would tell me *yes, you are eligible, we just have to do background checks now*. Than I could at least sleep better. I'm afraid to check my emails when I wake up in the morning

maybe you should order GCMS to see if they have passed you on eligibility. Maybe you have and they are just doing the security now :( I know this is hard and I haven't even have waited half as long and many others here but my husband is really frustrated and wants to contact the mayer. We can't think about anything else that we can do. I know what you're saying about other VOs. It's frustrating to see that most who have applied the same time as I did through other VOs have already gotten their PPRs and the ones who have applies before me are already there having their lives on track and all, yet it seams like Vienna is being ran by part-time temp employees who do nothing but to sit around and get payed.

Eva, don't do this to yourself my dear.... You will get yours soon.
As Milan said below it depends on the officer who is reviewing your file. Any day now you will get the mail...Just keep your spirits up!
