Dutchcookies, no, we did not. I totally understand your frustration, we are becoming one of the oldest cases now and it blows my mind that some people get their visa in 70-80 days while we've been waiting for more than 250 days now. I thought our case is really straightforward as we've been together/known each other for years, have lived together before getting married, first marriage, no kids etc but apparently Vienna does not think so.
Don't get me wrong I am happy that people are getting their PRs quickly, I just wish the process was more transparent and fair.

Im afraid our cases are just collecting dust.. Laying on a pile, officer busy with other stuff. Why else would there not be any movement for our case and other people fly trough the Vienna office?
Will try to give them a call, just want a status update..
Did you contact them?

I see you did ;)
I send the email a week ago, will hold of for a few more days and phone them.

Hang in there Europe, sounds like youre almost done! Last few steps..

I honestly have no idea why. If at least we would be able to know where they're at or when to expect the decision, it would be easier to live with them putting our lives on hold. My husband emailed them in October (first time since AOR) and I emailed them again in November. I don't really expect a reply. Let me know if you're able to reach them by phone please!

And yes, hang in there Europe, I believe you should hear back from them shortly! Sounds like your case in coming to an end :)

Do any of you guys also cant send PM ?

@ nole73 wanted to type a PM, my wife is also born in Sarajevo, and I remember asking my friend to get it from there, but I m not sure who issued the paper, in Serbia its police... so not sure will they ask for papers from both country or no... (not sure if she was over 18 when she came to Belgrade) and I agree you really were unlucky with sending your application... all the delays that could happend happend to you... but as I see now people from August, September are even more lucky sponsorship in a month instead of 2 or 3... and what I've learned is that CIC has no pattern, there's no way we can crack the code the way they are working. One thing that occur to my mind is that it might be that you guys over did it, trying to show them that your relationship is geniuine really soon after getting married might look suspicious (but its only my guessing) as I said we provided some of the evidence but not all, and they accepted it, even my military (civil service) wasnt an issue for them, and police certicifate that I also got in end of April or beginning of May and they didnt ask for new one... I m guessing it shouldn't be more than 6 months old when you send papers to CIC, and than if process is taking long than they ask for new one otherwise no

I think that you need to have at least 10 posts before you can send a PM; however, most of our posts got erased and their count was lost when this thread went down last week.

We requested the certificate and are waiting for it. Wife was born in Sarajevo so we'll see what happens. And your certificate obviously didn't expire before the VO made their decision... before we submitted our application I went to see an immigration consultant who didn't mention that court certificate won't be accepted (this was mentioned to her). I'm detail-oriented and I am 1000% positive that CIC website never mentioned that court certificates are not accepted at the time when we were applying. Police certificate was mentioned me thinks.

I'm even thinking of going to Vienna on my wife's behalf and deliver requested documents in person. Just want to make sure that they get it... however, I'm not sure if they can issue her COPR if she's not present.

I'm with my wife in Serbia and I almost lost it today. I can only imagine the pain of people who have been waiting for so long... I have no idea why is it taking this long. So much suffering and so much hassle... I am speechless.

Hang in there guys.

I'd email them to ask if you can. I would also go in person if I were you. I believe that they will answer quickly since it's not another one of our generic status updates ;)

I sent them an email. Let's hope for the best... :)

Got a request for documents today, they need a declaration of common-law.

I find that strange, because this is a document that wasn't requested durin application, since my partner is my sponsor. Do I send an email back that this document isn't needed? or do I just send it? Does this mean they don't trust our other relationship proof? I'm slightly worried.......

Just send it.
I filled in the declaration of common law even though it didn't make any sense.
The description of their forms are so vague (co-signer and stuff) that you might as well just fill it in.

Good morning all!

This was a great morning for us - we received an e-mail requesting my husband's passport !!!!!!!! ;D
They said that he can send it via registered mail, or go in person on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and they say most likely they will issue him a visa by the afternoon - so he will be there on Thursday morning !!! :D

This was fast, and very unexpected and I'm ecstatic!

It looks like Vienna is making lots of progress, and I hope you all get the great news this week - good luck :)

wow, congratulations :) :) :) that was so fast! I wish mine would go as fast :( hehe

congratulations NS021 I think ur fastest case in this topic ... at least this year ...

nole73 they didnt ask me to sign anything so I think they might accept issuing you her COPR.. but not sure if you can drop the documents and get COPR same day

and I saw post count, forgot about deleting posts in thread so I went below 10 and therefore couldnt send PM
