You can use either, both Sponsor and Principal Applicant show the same information; only difference is the mailing addresses.

Thanks! Good to know. I thought that for stage 2, they would only update the applicant's ecas.

Bobbi i let you know when my ecase changes :-) but ya they are slow on updating but since i got AOR it must be a sign they look at it and thats good enough for now, although an "in process" would make me feel better of course.

It's "application received" for me, too. Not even "medicals received," which apparently is not uncommon.

But you had AOR in june and it hasnt changed yet? I would expect it to be changed by now..... What about monikita?

@montrealsnow have you recieved AOR from Vienna ? We re on similar timeline and I havent so thats why I'm asking

Nope, no AOR from Vienna. There are still a couple of people ahead of us, so I'm not holding my breath. I hope the medicals thing is not an issue, but I guess I'll find out soon enough.

An update from me. My wife, I and two kids (dual citizens) landed in Canada last friday. I only have stage 1 approval. I didn`t have any problems with the immigration oficer even thogh I was clearly moving (one way tickets and a whole lot of boxes with me). Our case is very straight forward.
Today my (applicanct) ecas changed. Now it says my home address is the Canadian address and my post address is the old one (I thought it would be the other way around). I am not sure if that means we are getting close or not. ECAS still says application received.

It's "application received" & "medicals received" for me, too. My ecase has been showing this status since I received AOR in May. They added my mailing address in June...
Look at the below info I took from ecase Application for Permanent Residence Outside Canada. It seems like "application received" means IN PROCESS... so no worries...

Status of your application

IN PROCESS
(A decision has not been made yet.)

Explanation

Application Received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)

We have received your application and will review it in order of receipt. We will send you an acknowledgement letter.

thats what mine says if i clicked under "App. received" :

We received your application for permanent residence on May 22, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

Thats still from when we applied.....so i have no change at all, this been like that since we had sponsor approval, but for me its only a few days now since i got AOR.

But ya i dont worry, ecase seems not so reliable either way, when they send AOR then they must be looking at it.....

Monikita, i hope you hear of your visa soon!
And Gruja, its great you could arrive in canada without problems, im debating myself if i dont hear of them till october/november to fly to my husband too, i just cant wait too long anymore >< we miss each other so bad, although we know we get much closer and it should have an end soon enough but this last step just drives us crazy meanwhile. Not a day we say things like "please hurry up" or "Cant wait anymore" haha

I sent a status inquiry email to Vienna. I never received an auto generated confirmation email?
The email I sent my inquiry to is vienn-visa@international.gc.ca
Is this the email you used to contact VO?

i never sent them anything yet but if you used the email they wrote in the AOR for contact it should be right. Im sure they got it but not always you get an answer, someone tried several times to before getting a response.

Thanks Montrealsnow! That worked :)
Got the confirmation email I was looking for :P

so they email in the AOR from vienna isnt working? But good to know about this online form, i try to keep in mind when my time comes to contact them
