Vienna hasn't approved anyone (in the forum) in a while?? Are they all on vacation? What is going on there?

I do not think it is *only* due to Berlin closing. Remember, they closed Berlin because there are very few applications going through there, as opposed to other VO's and despite that, they were not even faster, considering the average time was at times even higher than Vienna.

They either have a freeze on now, or no one is working. Cause this makes no sense.

I will contact my MP tomorrow. Enough is enough. I'm sick and tired of people being left in the dark and not knowing what's going on. CIC is playing with our lives and our well-being, while we are all freaking out since not a single visa has been issued in 4+ months. I will keep you posted.

Ya do that and good luck! Finally there should be a bit movement!

If you have received AOR in August, it sure means that somebody is working, or am I wrong?

Today I was bored so went through some topics of applicants from march, may, february... and in general looks like New Delhi office is fastest, and there are a lot of people who still didnt get through stage 2 even they are applicants from february so we re not the only one, but the thing that not a single person got their approval since May is really killing my optimism. Guess we all can hope for the best, but be prepared that stage 2 might take longer than what we hoped for (at least me)

New Delhi VO is issuing visas in 2-3 weeks once the AOR is sent from their VO. How is this possible when they have the largest volume of the applications? This is a complete bias - why is Vienna office taking forever to even send AOR's? The whole process is absolutely unfair to everyone involved. We are all the taxpayers and we all pay for their services dearly. There is no way to obtain any info on the progress and if you're lucky to get through, CIC agents are usually clueless and if you speak to 5 different agents you will get 5 different answers. Our future is in question, our lives are on hold. Instead of helping us out, CIC acts indifferently and unprofessionally.

Well, if they have a high volume of applications one would assume that also have a large number of people working on said applications. And Vienna is certainly not the only slow office. I'm really curious to see what the Vienna Q2 stats will look like once they come out. Can't be too good...

Right, sorry, I guess the secretary finally found my wife's app after 47 days and finally sent out an AOR before she threw onto the visa officers over flowing inbox. The same visa officer who doesn't reply to emails or hasn't given a visa in a few months.

I must really be impatient or have my expectations to high.

I applied February 16th. Got AOR from Vienna last month July 17th. And ever since then I haven't heard anything. I sent them an email, received no reply back. This is ridiculous, I don't think they realize we miss being with our spouse, and all this waiting is time that could be better spent together rather than apart.

TVG, do you want to add your info into the Vienna spreadsheet (link is in my signature)? Or post it here and I can add it.

I had to read through your timeline again, now I understand what you mean.
So in your case, Mississauga sent your application to Vienna and not Berlin, since Berlin was closed at that time already? I'm just wondering when did Vienna receive the old Berlin files? Does anyone know how long that took?

Hi montrealsnow, yes can you please add me?!

App. Filed: feb 16 2012
Sponsorship approval: june 5 2012
AOR Vienna: July 11 2012

This is it for now, I hope we all get approved soon.

Thanks for the update

Thats what I ment, you dont even hear much of people getting AOR's, just all seems terrible slow and so many are waiting on it. My file is with them now one and a half month and im waiting on the AOR too but if there's still feb/march people waiting, I guess it takes even longer. Compared to others we really are only a bit more than a handfull applicants all together >< I just hope to see more good news and maybe at least one visa issued soon! Its just terrible depressing not one got done in all this months. Please let me hear soon some good news someone :-)
