I've heard that embassy in Belgrade sends and receives diplomatic mail every two weeks on Friday.
His passport probably arrived. Yesterday was Friday.

Well, you were right. Visa issued today! He's bought his ticket and will arrive in a month!

Yeay! Congrats! My husband went to Vienna today and got his visa as well.

Wonderful! When's he landing?

don't know yet. he hasn't bought a ticket yet. probably in a month or so. he needs to settle a few things first. a month seems like nothing now

My husband got a flight out of Budapest for only 400 euros. He has to get a shuttle from Belgrade, but that's only 30 euros.

Dear XXXX,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to complete the processing of your application you must:

provide this office with a passport for you in order that immigrant visa may be affixed in the passport. There must be a blank page in the passport. The passport must be valid beyond your planned date of arrival in Canada. Passport will normally be returned by registered mail to the mailing address we have in our records. Please allow several weeks for processing.

Please also send a photocopy of the page containing the passport details.

If you wish to have same day service, please come to our office in person on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 08:30 AM and 10:00 AM, and we will try to complete the processing by 3:00 PM.

We request that you comply with these instructions within two months of the date of this letter. Failure to do so may result in the refusal of your application and the closure of your file.

Thanks Tam.1979! soon it's going to be your turn. yup, first try was denied, appeal & won, 2nd try with authorized to returned to canada(ARC) & passport request. I am excited to tell my son when I pick him up after work. he will be very happy. thank you all who may have contributed for easy understanding of the whole immigration process.

February 2010 CPC Mississauga approved
March 2010 Vienna process
September 2010 Denied & appeal filed
April 2011 Appeal & won
May 2011 Vienna re-process
October 2011 PPR & hopefully land the same month

He will be going to Vienna to pick-up his visa & fly from Vienna to Toronto late night of the same day.

Note: Medical was sent without request from VO after appeal was allowed in April 2011. CAIPS notes shows it expired Jan 2011.

July 15, 2011 - E-cas shows "medical result has been received"
July 28, 2011 - Vienna requested new police clearance (PCC) via email
August 4, 2011 - PCC arrived at VO
August 16, 2011 - Vienna acknowledged the PCC received
October 6, 2011 - Passport request

I think when they ask for medical re-do they will ask for new PCC too. also, you have to note mine has another application they have to review, the ARC. so i'm guessing yours will be 15 days or maximum a month after they receive your PCC & Med redo.
