I believe my English syntax cant be more professional lol Many of our friends in this thread have sent similar inquiries to Vienna in this same email address but they got Zip in reply!
I can only guess that you got lucky!

I believe that your English is excellent. Yes as you said many of our people from this forum sent them mail and they don't replying as much, i cannot understand why they do that? At least to tell the people condition it will make relief to anyone. I was sending them mail like 4 times i got reply but everyone that i sent i got reply back after 1week if i remmeber correct. But still since January I did not hear that anybody got his Visa from Vienna means its getting slow and my process was going so fast in the biginning but now everybody was tired for being petient without any respond that is bad, but i think in the middle of august they will be back from Vacation we will hear some good news

When we started this process Vienna we needed to send them more docs, (military records). I emailed Vienna to make sure they received them and they confirmed they did in Dec. I emailed them again after our medicals expired (APRIL) to ask if we should do another one--they sent new paperwork for my husband and said we MAY WISH TO--very vague, and do not get me wrong although I do appreciate the response and the paperwork, I took this like we were almost finished this process. In June I emailed once more because I was leaving Serbia, and inquiring if we could leave together and then we were told that background checks could take several months and they will contact us next --A polite way of saying do not email us again ;D

But what is discouraging/frustrating is that they had our military docs in December. It made me wonder what has been done from December until now?

Anyhow my last email to them was this past July, I was inquiring about the strike because CIC Mississauga has no info, on whether the strike is affecting the office etc...and I have not heard from them since.

But I guess my point is at the beginning of the process in 2012 , when I had a question, I did hear from them. Just thought I would share.

Nice to hear from you, I think back to december until now u should expect to hear from them soon i guess coz its like 90% of your processing time from 10month u should have some respond in the middle of august i think so, but as you know sometimes they dont even wanna reply if u just lucky they can i never expect them to reply all i do is hope if they can at least said something i hear from guy said after he sent the mail its automatically respond back we advise to not sent us any mail before 72hours that is totaly bad

And CIC Canada is not connected to this what so ever. I called the call centre they have no idea what is happening in other regions. They could not even tell me what is the length of a PR visa.

A QUESTION TO ANYONE WHO KNOWS THE ANSWER: What is the length of a PR visa?

PR means permanent residence

when i contacted MP i called them and also i went one day there they were really friendly and helpful , i heard from some peopel in another threat that you havr to make an appoitment to see your MP , i didnt need at all, i called them and they told me whenever you need to reach us feel free to contact me ,
Guys i know how you are feeling but just pary that Vienna is not goign to strike , i read in one article in tourism industry that if they are not going in agremnet more offices will go in strike, so hope guys you are goign to have some good news,

That is true , as for my experience even if they are askign for some documetns they will put you in Q,and after you have to wait that your file will stay in officer desk making dust , i know the process is really slow, but we have to pray that they are not going in strike,like i said in previos email most of the VO will go in strike , hope Vienna is not goign to be one of them ,

that is more important that Vienna is not goign to strike, and lets all pray and hope for some good news , i know even last year Vienna was really slow in the summer time , lets all hope that August is going to be miracle month for all of your guys

I don't think anyone correctly answered this. if im understanding the question correctly your PR visa expires 1 year from the time you took your medical. But from reading on the forum they can extend it. Once you get your passport and visa back, in the visa is an expiry date. I'm guessing if your get your visa close to 1 year from you medical they probably give you little extra time.

I got an email from Vienna on June 4 asking for more information (had a 2 month gap in my background form). I sent the form a few hours later and never got an (automatic) reply. I really hope they received it. I sent the email to re-vienn.immigration@international.gc.ca. That's the email address I got the request from...

I just sent the same email again. This time to vienn.immigration @ international.gc.ca and I received an automatic reply immediately. I hope they received my email from June 4th, too because they wanted the additional document within 30 days

Vienna office they don't reply if they ask you additional documents and you provide it to them, just make sure u have track number of delivery with you in case if something comes, but if they not get your documents before 30days like they said they will inform you immediately, all you have to do is to waiting for the news from them we all hope to get news from them in the middle of August
