Hi, My daughter is in a dilemma. She's booked to go home to Australia to live on 16th Sept. Just received her citizenship test date in Victoria for 24th Sept (earlier than anticipated when booking the flights). Is there any spreadsheet data somewhere or somehow to find out how long it may be between my test date and the oath ceremony in Victoria?
She also has the option of doing her test & oath ceremony in Vancouver in November.
Trying to weigh up whether to postpone my flights home to Australia until after oath ceremony in Victoria (date unknown for flight change) or just fly back in November for a week or so and do both together.
Anyones experience with test and oath dates in Victoria would be appreciated.

You can view similar timelines here if she applied in 2019. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...s0OQqRHqGdw10LwAItLuJR5XY/edit#gid=1316748968

My opinion is to take the same day test and oath in November. From the spreadsheet and what we can gather Vancouver takes more time to invite for path ceremonies. Solicit more opinions. But that’s what I’ll do in my case. All the best

Thanks. We've found one applicant and they did the test in May and oath in September. She is going to apply for the November date.

If she's going to do Oath in Victoria then the next time the guys from CIC will be there is Spring 2020.

CIC only visits Victoria approx twice per year, so you can safely assume that if her test is in September, her Oath will be in the Spring of 2020, unless she chooses to do it in Vancouver sooner.

We did our test in May and chose to do the Oath in Vancouver in July (I'm impatient!!). However, you can bet that some others from the same testing sessions as us in May will be taking their oath in September (during the same week your daughter is taking her test).

@Shey. @mooer Thank you for your feedback. Yes, we've worked out from others and from the letter that they only do the two trips a year and if you do the test at one trip, your oath will be at the next trip. When test invite was received, she was told that she may qualify for the option to attend the office in Vancouver to attend the test/interview and then attend a ceremony in the same day. Hence we've chosen the option to make the trip back to Vancouver to do it all in the one day and spend some quality mother/daughter time together. Win/Win I reckon :)

Hey @mooer : Did you ask on your interview if there is an available space for Oath in Victoria right after the test date (on Thursday/Friday of the same week as test/interview was held)?
I see that some people got test invite and Oath invite for Sep 23-27 week, and just curious how the CIC people decide on this - to issue just the test invite or test and oath invites together.
