Has anybody over here recently visited dubai to give his or her biometrics? Could you please share the experience i.e how many days we need to be there? Can we just book the appointment and submit the biometrics? Or there are any complications for indians?

Please comment if you have experienced it
Thanks

I haven't gone there to give biometrics but lived there before. Currently, for tourist visas, you'll need a valid agency e.g. airline / tour agent who can get you a visa, have return tickets home with enough expenses and health cover, take a RT-PCR test about 96hrs before flight (from one of the few approved labs) and display the covid-negative report at check-in, undergo another test on arrival, stay in a confined hotel until the result of the second test comes negative (usually takes a day or two), and then I guess you can leave your hotel.

As for VFS, I suggest you contact them directly to ensure you can give biometrics and have an appointment ready. Hope this helps - more info can be found on Dubai tourism's website.

Thanks buddy. I got your point.
Moreover , is it true that if I give the biometrics in dubai, do I have to give my passport for stamping in the same vfs or I can give it in India also after I get PPR.
Do you have any insight in this?
As I don’t want to go there 2 times. It’s gonna save me lot of money.

So there's a catch - even if you give biometrics, nobody can tell when / if your application will be approved for a passport request (hundreds of students who gave biometrics before march are still waiting). And then, if they issue a passport request, isn't clear if there might be some conditions like submitting it in a specific office / any office.

Its your decision whether flying to give biometrics is worth the hassle, money and risk of covid

Even if we give biometrics in other countries.. our passport must be submitted in our home country

I also want to know more about this. VFS probably won't open in November either. And even if it opens in December there will be long waiting times and huge rush.
If anyone who has done the biometric in Dubai or planning to do this please let us know.

You’ll have to apply for Dubai visa + 14 days quarantine and after that you can do your biometric. Do Calc the costs (Flights + visa + quarantine).

I'm planning to get my biometrics done from Dubai but I haven't heard of anyone who has, so I'm a little on the fence about it.

what about passport submition? Can you do it in India? And have you booked appointment for biometrics or will you do it when you get there? Please share your experience here. Even I’m considering Dubai option.
