Hi
I'm permanent resident. I'm veterinarian and graduated from un-regulated university in middle east.I'd like to know further information about the veterinary medicine license as I know that I have to pass two exams(bcse, navel)then I will be temporary licensed then I have to take up job but under supervision of other licensed doctor in order to enter the third clinical exam.
I'd like to know:
-what is the best source of studying in order to pass the first two exams?
-is it easy to work with the temporary license to gain the experience to pass the clinical exam or not?
-how long will it take to pass the first two exams?
Thanks in advance.

Hello -
My name is Lindsay Mitchell and I coordinate licensing at the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO).
I would suggest contacting the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association - National Examining Board or the American Veterinary Medical Association - ECFVG for advice regarding your studying. There is information about applying for a restricted licence to work under supervision on the CVO website and it can found by under the "for applicants" section.
The BCSE is offered on a continuous basis throughout the year and the NAVLE is only offered twice a year. The average time frame to complete all three exam is 3-5 years.
Please contact me at the College should you have any further questions.
