Very urgent question on medical. At doctors office

I am doctors office for our medicals
I am told that it would be non ede worker category for me
They don't know for my family , they said it changed effective March 2017
Can someone please tell me the category for dependants which is my wife and kids?

There was a change on Dec and clinics would no longer do EDE-Family upfront... so people started doing as I've stated. I'm NOT aware of any change more recente than the Dec one, I think your doctor is mistaken as there is nothing on the IRCC page about a March 2017 change for PRs - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

That's fine... IRCC have not rejected anyone in recent times due to exam type so you won't have a problem.

Seems a bit ridiculous if you ask me... Worker or kids when they're OBVIOUSLY not going to WORK! But may due to all the recent confusion after the Dec 15th change IRCC just told all the panel physicians to just do Non-EDE Worker for all upfront Medicals, so now without an actual request they can only select Worker..

We only have 1 in entire Georgia and it's weird that they don't know the process
