Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I only called CIC twice.

First one, when an agent took time to look into my file and said my file was transferred to local office in March 7 (approximately 2-6 months, if everything is good, I should get notice for test).

The second one, was this agent who puts me on hold for 10mins, as he needed to check into the file thoroughly to check the date my oath letter was mailed. Told me Oath is for Sep 6. But needs to wait for the official letter. When I got home, the letter was there.

Thanks God, I have not encountered the "not so nice / efficient" agents.

guys, someone posted something from CIC stating that once you status is " in process", your file has been transferred. is it the case?
or it has to take couple months for Sydney to transfer file to local office?
I think it has been discussed to some other threads here that this is not the case now.

In Process simply means, they acknowledge acceptance of your application (no missing documents as per the check list).

In some cases, like mine, the "IN PROCESS" line disappeared same day my file was transferred to local office. But this is not the case for everybody.

So I guess, the answer is, nobody really knows. Lol.. :D

My experience with the CIC call centre was always pleasant. I called 4 times already, since most of them are francophone. I usually start with a french greeting, Like bonjour comment ca va? They usually will say bien or ca va bien merci and then i will tell them thats all the french that I know even though im an intermediate french speaker lol, and they start laughing. We started on a good note maybe an ice breaker for them after a boring/busy day. Then I will ask my questions and they will usually go the extra mile. After that, I say merci beacoup et au revoir pour maintenant! Twice I heard them saying its my pleasure. Just sharing. :p Little tricks that could work.

For those who don't speak French, better don't try this, otherwise will be taken as offence. See some words like pour maintenant sounds like poor maintenance. LOL

I called CIC to ask my Citizenship Ceremony date, and I got a negative response again. :-[
They haven't send me the Oath letter.

Additionally, The agent said, whether I took the test or not,(By the way, I took a test on July.3. And RQed before the test) my case was a residence questionnaire, so it may take up to next year September. :'(
Very depressed and gives me more stress and pain.
But... after I passed the test, I got a white paper mentioned that the ceremony process take 3 to 5 months.

For those who passed the test, but a RQed before the test, and completed Citizenshop Oath,
How long did it take to get a Oath letter?
Does anyone have similiar experince??

Don't believe whatever the agent said. Stay positive. Since you are RQ'ed. Maybe it will take 3 months, instead of the normal 2 months period.

You will have your oath soon. Good luck!
