Thanks!

Read this:

I have just phoned CIC again to inquire about the time of the oath since I do not see an oath at that time for Vancouver on the CIC website.

The agent took some time and returned back to me to tell me that it looks like that they are trying to schedule my oath on the 15th but it is not confirmed yet! I said that the other agent informed me that the letter was mailed out yesterday. She said "it looks like it was" but it is not in fact; this is how we interpret what we see! She said that I need to call in a few days to get a confirmation!!!!

Charmed I went down to check my mailbox and the letter is already there :)

10 months, 20 days is a rather decent timeline for Vancouver.

All the best for Vancouverites!
I am just wondering, did you submit CBSA report on the interview?

A friend of mine, who took the exam 2 weeks earlier than us, still no oath letter. Maybe the CBSA report helped? Just curious..

Yes of course I did and even the officer threw a big thank you while taking a photocopy of it. ;)

I have a hunch that the document helps out a lot on test day.

Same here. The officer asked a lot of questions after knowing that I am alone here and no relatives.. but stopped after verifying the dates between my CBSA report & passport stamps.. I also believe it helped.. :)

Maybe those, waiting for test can request for their free CBSA report while waiting for the test notice to come :)

For future applicants, I think if you saturate the officer with documents proving your ties to Canada it will definitely be a plus. Example of such ties would be mortgage, rent/lease, NOA's, T4s, school records, Border records. Anything that would show them that you are indeed living here and taking part in building this mosaic ideals that they've honed for so many years. Good luck!

What if I already ticked the box to give permission to CIC to collect information from CBSA?

I have not had my CBSA report, and I was not asked about it.
Ohh, that means older application didn't have that option for CIC to collect info from CBSA. Then everybody with old package must submit the CBSA report, because they actually modified it in the new application for the applicant to give them permission to get the CBSA. I thought you ticked no for that question.

No I believe I ticked yes. What I meant is that I never thought to bring my CBSA report to the interview nor to order it.
