Hi,
I wrote earlier here that I was concerned why, having applied in Aug 2013, my application is still In Process and no Test Letter yet, while many other Vancouver applicants applied couple months after me and had their tests already. I guess I figured out now; I've been checking my status as I am the principal applicant (We submitted a family application). Yesterday I checked eCAS status for all three of us and was surprised to see that my son's file is In Process from Feb 2014 while me and wife have In Process status from Oct 2013. For some reason they started processing child's application four months after ours.
Another thing: If you have not done it already, I recommend you to download the cell phone app named CheckCIC (FREE). With this application you enter Unique Client ID, Name, DOB and Place of Birth etc info only once when you create a user and after that each time you want to check your eCAS status you just tap on your name and that's it, you don't have to enter all the information every time you wanna check your status. In addition to eCAS checks it also has a few more useful features.
Good Luck
