Well i thought it was worth a shot, since i never went back to pak and got the PCC right before i left. They can check the passport for entry and exit stamps from immigration.

Anyways suprisingly i got the new PCC from pak in 5 days which was super fast, have already sent it to London.

I hope they will send the request for medicals soon.

Dear Bobby,

Just a question, since they have completed their review and asked for updated documents which was only one pcc, what exactly does this mean? Is it a good sign? i'm kindda confused about this. The letter mentioned that the file will be reviewed again with new documentation and the visa officer will make a final decision whether to approve it, interview, or reject it.

since they are asking for further information, there's quite a bright chance that you made it through the NOC and other checks. Only one PCC seemed old, so they'll make their decision based on the report on this PCC.

but, this is what I think... you need to wait and watch.

Well since ECAS status has changed to review complete and started processing I guess this means that i'm clear on the NOC and ministrial list.

The rest i have no idea what the next stage is going to be?

The validity for CIC for PCC is 3 months. It clearly states it on the website.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

Example: If one has to submit the application on 14th July 2009, then maximum range date by which PCC will be valid for CIC is 13th May 2009 - 14th July 2009 - which is 3 months(Supposing the applicant submits the application on 14th July 2009) then only its valid. Suppose the applicant submits it on 15th July 2009, its not valid and a new PCC has to be issued.

Sometimes the local CHC accepts the PCC but technically its 3 months.

Yes - Clear on the NOC and Ministerial List!! First hurdle successfully crossed.
Your case is being processed by the Local Visa Office, "STAGE 2". This office will now verify, authentic and scrutinize each and every document you have put in, do the necessary and required checks. If all goes well, you will get your medicals and then the PR.

Good Luck.

So when they have mentioned that the review have been completed does this mean that they have also calculated the points etc which as to be above 67?

Hi

PCC issued in India is valid for 6 months.

If you have lived in other countries consecutively for over 6 months, you will then have to submit PCCs for those countries as well.

Kindly note the following example:

If you have made 5 trips to a country and have not lived consecutively in that country for over 6 months during any of your 5 trips you made there; then you need not submit PCC.

Thanks
Madhava

So there's a lot of conflicting information out there.

For those who have not yet applied, the according to the most recent application guide, IMM EG7000 (07-2009), police certificates must be submitted WITH the application to the local visa office AFTER you receive approval from CIO.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf

"You may begin to gather your police certificates before submitting your application to the CIO. Although you will not submit the police certificate to the CIO, you must be ready to submit them to a visa office if your application is recommended for further assessment at a Canadian visa office. When you submit the application to the visa office please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months before you submitted your application to the CIO.

For applicants requiring multiple police certificates, please be certain these documents can be produced at the time of the submission of your application to the Canadian visa office."

Hi Mbomuluh,

I am in London and I had to download the forms from the Nigerian Consulates Website.
Fill it in and send it back to the Consulate. They then sent it back, stamped and signed with a letter explaining the steps.
1) You need to get Finger Prints (In my case from New Scotland Yard- costs about £65.00 + £28.00 Pounds transport from where I live). And then attach the finger prints to one of the included letters addressed to the Commissioner of police Nigeria. (You will need to send it to Alagbon Close yourself - that was I was told anyway). Hmm Ok , wetin u think. You go wait sote!!! You go just dey wait for transit, My brother!!! But,
2)In the letter, it is written that If you have relatives or know people for there, make you send it to them and make dem carry am go Alagbon for you.

If you live for Naija before, So the rest you go fit understand! (This is the expensive bit)
Anyway, In my case I had to fish out for the whole process including PP almost £350.00.
The most expensive PCC I have ever had to get (LOL).

I hope this helps!!

they have changed it to 6 months now on the same link.

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.
