VAC(s) in India

I believe at this point Canadian High Commission, India has shown absolute incompetence. There is no indication of when VAC(s) are going to open. And I totally don't understand their reasoning. They are claiming it's for the safety of their staff and public. This is so rubbish. Literally everything is open in India. Cases have been dropping since last couple of weeks. All other VAC(s) have been operating in India for months now. Canada VAC(s) are open in other countries for months including US where covid outbreak is much more severe than in India. They should open VAC(s) ASAP. They need to understand it's not just about final approval. It is also about letting applicants complete their application so that they are able to travel as soon as travel restrictions are lifted.

Have been depressed to the core by all the waiting done.

Mostly they'll open up in November as they would be processing complete files. There will be no AIP.

VAC’s in India are run by VFS, which is a publicly traded company that bid on that contract. I get your frustration but the Canadian government just seems to have outsourced to a shoddy company so really you should be hassling VFS.
