Hello all,
.I received ITA a few days ago. I am going to provide the needed 6 months bank statement and a gift deed to explain the recent funds added to my bank account from my mother.
I understand that you will be asked again for (another/new?) Bank statement when you arrive to Canada or before they issue the visa.
My question is: will it be a problem if I deduct and add money to and from my bank account after ITA, and make sure that I have the reuired funds when they ask for another bank statement?

I've heard mixed things about this, however a local US attorney told me as long as you keep the minimum somewhere/somehow you're okay.

My situation for example:
I transferred 12,500 into my RBC Canada account and Uploaded the statements, a LoE, and documents showing the money came from my own other accounts. The USA has tax laws regarding having more than 10,000$ in a foreign bank. So I've transferred some back to my USA RBC account, as well as continued to add money to my other US investment account. I've maintsained the 12,500 requirement, but moved funds around and was assured this was okay.

Thank you for your reply.
So this is a bit different because you never really had less than the required funds at all times, but you added and deducted to it, but still had the minimum..
That's my problem.
Say I have 19000 now and made the bank statement, 2 months later I deducted 2000 3 months after I added 2000 and made the second bank statement that they want.
Would that be a problem?

shouldn't be a problem as long as you have the money required when you land

See? This is exactly what adds to the confusion.
Some people tell me it's fine, and others say do not touch the money.
Do you think calling or sending an e-mail to CIC with my questions will be worth it? Are they helpful?

most of the time the people you get on the phone don't really seem to know what they're talking about so it's up to you, you can try calling, i wouldn't send an email though.
none of the answers on this forum are made by professionals so that's why you can have different answers and also probably depending on the stream you're applying for, the visa officer etc outcomes might differ.

of course the safest is to keep the money needed at all time on your account until you land, if it's not possible i don't see why it would be a problem as long as you have the money required when asked/when you land.

that's only my opinion.
