Nationality should be the country that issued your passport before you claimed asylum in Canada. Nat'l ID No. is if you have a nat'l ID from the same country, and its valid then provide that number. Otherwise leave it blank. Can someone please help here . What should be the nationality and national identification number for protected person holding refugee travel document while applying for USA tourist visa ?
I suggest you not travel with your former country's travel document even if the visa is still valid.Well, if my visa in my old passport is still valid, can I travel with my US visa in my old passport using a travel document? My visa is not printed on the passport that immigration confiscated. Before I sought asylum in Canada, I traveled with my US visa in my old passport using my new passport. If I get a travel document, can I travel if my US visa in my old passport is still valid? Because if I want to apply for a US visa using a travel document, I can make an appointment for 1.5 years later. That's why I asked this question.
your US visa is likely cancelled even if it is 'valid' as per the dates in the visa, because you sought asylum in canada. as others have said you should travel with your old passport. apply for another US visa on your RTD, other people who has valid US visa's before claiming asylum did not have to wait 1.5yrs for the interview, they got their US visa's without an interview. check this forum you'll find the detailsWell, if my visa in my old passport is still valid, can I travel with my US visa in my old passport using a travel document? Can i get US Visa Even if cancelled without interview? After fill out and submit ds-160 form what should i do after? And do you know how long it is going to take? Because i will travel to different country in April 7th. I am afraid that when I send my travel document for visa, they may not send it until my travel date. If already a protected person you do have status. Assume they meant permanent status like PR.I attended my interview and was refused because they claimed I don’t have status in Canada as I still do have my pr yet
They don’t regard the protected status…they said once I don’t have a permanent residence, it means I don’t have status in Canada..will reapply when I get my prIf already a protected person you do have status. Assume they meant permanent status like PR.
As I have read in this forum, Protected Persons have received US visit visa (B1/B2) on their RTD even though they have not yet received PR. Can someone please confirm this? They don’t regard the protected status…they said once I don’t have a permanent residence, it means I don’t have status in Canada..will reapply when I get my pr

You are not a PR yet. Use your RTD.In the form, they ask if I am permanent resident. I am Protected person but not PR yet, do I say that I am permanent resident or not?
And the National Identification Number, I use from my country or what document number I use from Canada?
