Hey there,
My girlfriend currently lives in Canada and I'm currently in the United States. I'm looking to move in with her and get a visa. We were looking at doing something along the lines of either a work permit or spousal visa. Would it be possible to go there as a visitor and have my status changed while I'm there?
Another thing that we have a question about that might mess with the visa process is we are going to be teaching English as a foreign language in either Japan or Korea coming this January. Will doing that negatively affect an application for a Canadian visa? Is the best course of action to come as a visitor and then apply for the visa once we are in either Japan or Korea?
Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to this, we are trying our best to make this happen and get this done!
