USA Police Clearence Certificate

Dear members,

I lived in US for 3.5 years in the last 10 years and so I'm certain I need a PCC from US. I have been hearing that the US Govt might take up to 4 months in issuing a PCC. I'm waiting for my ECA completion before submitting my EOI but wanted to get some info on the US PCC so that I can apply for it sooner, if what I hear is really true. '

Also, can somebody let me know how long a PCC is valid?
Once we got the ITA, would CIC give us any additional time if the US PCC is delayed?

Assume you have read the CIC instructions ? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp advice is to apply as soon as you get ITA as CIC are aware of processing time.

I would suggest you apply for PCC straight away as it will take a lot of time to come, and it will be valid for lifetime if you are currently not living there, only your current home country PCC has to be not more than 6 months old as far as i know.

Just one thing to note here.....do not visit US after applying for ur US PCC...and if you have any plans then apply it after your visit else you have to get it again....
So it should be latest one once you receive your ITA....
