Hi,

I am planning to apply for federal skilled worker. I have masters from USA and 4 years bachelor's degree from India. Can you tell me if I have to get this degree evaluated from WES or other evaluation agencies? Is US masters degree recognized in Canada?

Thanks.

Get WES or one of the other services to do it. There is generally little issue with state schools and what not, but some of the iffier American for-profit schools, religious schools, and what not have had issues. May I ask what school and program it was?

I did my B.Tech from Guru Nanak Dev University from India. Do I have to add that also for evaluation?

I would advise it. While your job in your field will probably be based on the Virginia M.Eng (I agree with the other poster, this shouldn't present any problem at all), it is worth it to do the Indian degree as well. If you can't find a job in your field immediately, you may be able to find another job that is based on your undergrad. I'm in the field, and I can't tell you what a B.Tech is, so it is better to have the assessment and local equivalency all done and ready to show any employer rather than scrambling to get it done later.
