Why is the second link from a 2005 article? A little late, I must say.
A bill like this is far from reality...and I don't really think PhDs from the USA are really flocking to Alberta anyway! :-P

How many PhD's from USA we are talking about? Few thousands? That is very small percent of total talent pool consisting of PhD, Master and Bachelor degree holders, majority of them hold foreign degrees. Well, my friend talent/Dispora is imminent. Dude, there is nothing that will stop H1B's from applying to AINP program. Enough is enough.

A lot of H1B's are holders of US Masters Degree. Those people can be eligibile if they are enrolled in Phd programs. A guy just got admission into Phd in Maths because of STEM priority and before he will reach the level of Thesis, he will be able to apply under this new changed immigration program and under NIW program as well. Instantly Government is considering only Phd holders but later plans to consider Phd scholars as well.

Re: USA intends to improve Immigration for Talent/Diaspora! Stop rushing for AIN

As far as I know, the Fletcher School does not offer an MBA (Tuft does not have MBA either). I am not sure how you got your MBA from there.

SweetHeart Nix:

FYI
http://fletcher.tufts.edu/academic/joints.shtml

First of all, there is no joint JD/MBA in that list and second of all, you never mentioned which joint program (school name, like Tuck) you attended? All you said is the Fletcher school. I would have believed you if you have said Fletcher/Tuck.

Hey Governer,
You know now the AINP processing times is not 5 months , now its 8 months it may go to year also.
Strategic Recruitment Stream processing times for U.S. Visa Holders
U.S. Visa Holder Category Processing time
Notification (pre-assessment) Up to four months

Candidate assessment Up to four months
Total AINP processing time Up to eight months

http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrate/processingtimes.html

Technically this is the way how Alberta AINP restrict the NOMINATIONS.
(By the time most of the guys they will not be in H1 Status or laid of from the companies....
So better to pack up to Homeland........
Regards
VENKS

So you guys want to wait 5 years for the forecast US economic recovery??China is already moving and Canada is expected to start to recover next year?Instead of waiting for it,Why not move to Canada,Get your Canadian citizenship in 3 years, then move back to the US and as a Canadian under NAFTA you can basically work almost anywhere in the US as long as you want.FACT California has more unemployed people then the whole nation of Canada
