Hi All,

My parents were rejected a US visitor visa. I wanted to know will this affect the decision on their canadian visitor visa also?Is it safe to mention about this refusal in the TRV forms for canada?

They have to mention the refusal. There is a question on the application form that asks if you have ever been refused and they will have to answer yes.

Do you think this is given then that a US visa refusal will also get you a canadian visa refusal?

No - it's not a given. If they file a strong application and prove they have strong ties / no plans to remain in Canada long term - they certainly have a chance of being approved.

I am in a similar situation. My parents live alone back home (my brother has moved to another country) and they had a Visitor visa for USA rejected 3 years ago.

Now, I am applying for a new TRV single entry visa for them and would like them to visit me for 45 days sometime next month.

My dad runs his business in india from last 6 years and my mother has a good amount of property/house and old parents that she takes care of.

What do you think the chances here are?

I am permanent resident from last 3 years and me and my husband are employed with a good salary ($80k+). I have provided everything for NOA to employment letter etc..

My dad went to Singapore once for business and that's it. No other travel history. My dad runs a construction material shop that is rented from last 6 years.

Yes my dad can take a leave for 6 weeks as he has can hire an employee take care on his behalf.

What do you think our chances?
