You should definitely NOT take fingerprints on your own. I suggest you go to your nearest police station and they will do it for you or tell you where you need to go. yes you need to write your full address, hair colour, eye colour, height etc. reason for fingerprinted = immigration.

good luck with your application

Hey guys anyone knows which day they are working on?

As of Sept 6th.
They are processing July 5th applications and currently opening applications received on July 18th.

Mine was received on july 18th. Once they opened it, can I call them to know whether my fingerprints are accepted or not?

Our FBI reached their processing center on July 1st, the credit card was charged on August 23rd and we received the police clearance today (Sept 7th). It took almost 9 weeks for the process.

Wow that' s fast :) congratulations

Fbi received my app on 18 july, they charged credit card 6 sep.

Has anyone used National Background Check, inc? The police station my husband attended for fingerprinting suggested using them for FBI Channeling.

This thread is really helpful but I just want to know how to get the pcc and obtain my fingerprints in Seattle instead of following the process in the guide. I am not a US citizen but I live in US as a student. I found this page online and I wonder if it can work. Any thoughts?

This is the link to follow if you are not a US citizen or greencard holder.

Many Thanks

You can go to any LiveScan office in Seattle and ask them to get the prints done in FBI approved paper. Then fill up the FBI request form and credit card form. If you send money order there is no way to know when they charge you ( to approximate an ETA ). So better send credit card details and wait for it to be charged. Once you see the card transaction in your statement , you will know that your application is taken for processing.

My timeline is as follows.

Application delivered by Fedex on July 6th.
CC charged on August 29th.
The results were mailed on Sept 12th. ( I called them today to check the status )
Waiting to receive it in Canada. ( fingers crossed )

If you have any doubts you can call FBI customer service at +1 304 625 5590 , press 1211 to skip the message and talk to the fingerprint check person.

Finally I got the FBI PCC in mail. Here is my timeline.

Application delivered via Fedex to CJIS address in West Virginia on July 7th.
CC charged Aug 29th.
Results mailed out to Quebec,Canada - Sept 12th.
Results received in Quebec,Canada - Sept 19th. :P

Finally an end to this long FBI saga.
Let me know if anyone needs help in the full process, if you are applying from US and is not a GC or citizen.
I can explain it. Or see some of my previous posts.
