Be patient and positive! :) :D

I might just follow the advice I got from a few people and submit without the check, just include the tracking slip, and send it in after the fact.. With explanation of course haha.

It worked for me just fine. :)

Hi guys,

I called today and they said they are opening mail received August 27th. I sent mine Sept 13th so hopefully I'll hear something soon.

At least we have some news which is gr8. Please folks keep updating. Thanks :)

We're gonna submit after. Just included proof of submission, copy of the application, and proof of payment along with a note that we'll send the actual clearance when it shows (the hell) up :P

I got advised to wait until after SA and send to Ottawa (US applicant), thoughts? If so, what's that address?

(Posted this is a personal thread too, sorry if double dipping :P)

Can someone advice me here.

I made my FBI Clearance application on September 20th but the time given to me by CIC to upload the FBI report is 15th of December. I am afraid I may not meet this deadline.

Please what should I do.

You have to contact them and ask for more time. You can at least upload the receipt to prove when you submitted it.

Call the FBI and find out where they are at in processing.

Sorry a correction to my post, my application got to FBI October 20th not September 20th and I am expected to submit by 15th December.

Secondly, how do I send a receipt, as I am at the PR stage of the EE program.

It took us over 3 months to get it. We sent our request on July 22, the FBI mailed out the clearance on October 27.

I emailed them yesterday asking about my application and very strangely they replied in the same manner as they did before. It seems they have a template created, which they use to respond to all emails. The only thing that changes is the date they mention about opening the packages. On November 18th they were opening the mails received on 24th August and today they are opening mails received on 1st September... some progress! :(
I needed a confirmation of any sort from them just to tell my case officer that I've already sent my application but these people seem to be sticking to standard replies. I even attached the request letter from the case officer!
I am thinking of calling them ..........and hoping they will be able to provide me with some concrete info.
By the way how much time does it take to get a file number or a case officer assigned to work on my application?....any ideas?

I send in an explanation and sent the FBI one in much later and I went to DM just waiting for our letter in the mail, they never even contacted us to ask for it so I would guess it got added properly so I'd say it's a safe thing to do I am sure they aware of the crazy wait times with the amount of people who wrote just that in their explanations.

Thanks! When you sent it in where did you send it? I'm confused on that part. When it arrives do I send it to mississauga or Ottawa?
