Hi everyone
Aug 1 applicant here - just received my PPReq and am trying to send my passport photocopy but am having trouble finding the right courier. I need to send the passport photocopy, photos, annex A doc, and a prepaid envelope for them to send back my PR card to the US. went to fedex today and they said they couldn't create a prepaid envelope originating in Canada to be sent back to me in the US. What company/courier have others used?
Thanks!
Same boat. Anyone?

FYI the prepaid is for your COPR. You will get your PR card a few months after you land. Try UPS :)

I called Fedex and they said that I had to create an online account and schedule a shipment (and return shipment). It can't be done in the store. I filled out the forms online, printed off all the Fedex documents including the outbound and return labels, and took everything (Fedex docs, plus the passport copy, photos, Annex A doc) to Fedex and they took care of packaging the envelope and sending it out. There are several threads on canadavisa.com that discusses about what you need to do regarding sending a prepaid courier envelope from the US to Canada (it is a bit extensive and not at all intuitive). Hope this helps!

Hello! We finally got through to someone who made it their business to take care of us, and my husband (U.S. citizen PR applicant) received his CoPR documents by courier on December 22nd! I don't know if you are seeing "Decision Made" status on the website, but we were, and couldn't understand why we weren't hearing from them. These were the steps we took:

...

Thanks so much for sharing your story. I'm glad that you have your CoPR! That's such a relief, and an absolute shame that the system is so broken as to cause you this much pain and frustration.

No, we don't have any "Decision Made" indicators. Although back in March the sponsor received an email saying the application was going to be processed in Ottawa, I think it is in fact in Mississauga (which has been processing some applications that would have otherwise gone to Ottawa in the past). I know there is an email address for the Ottawa VO, but does anyone know if there is one for Mississauga? There isn't any on the CIC website afaik. Will also ask in the relevant threads.

You should go ahead and order your notes to atleast find out where your app is. My app was transferred to Ottawa may 24, then sent back to Mississauga on July 17. I received an email October 20 that my app would be processed in Mississauga

We've ordered notes three times, including yesterday.

Thanks! I actually ended up going to UPS this morning and they figured it out... though the guy at the desk and his manager had no idea how to do it at first but they seemed to make it works. Hopefully it does actually work or else I guess I’ll have to send it again and do the FedEx account

Is there an email from a case officer (Mississauga or Ottawa) that you can just 'reply' to?

For me, any emails I have received are from a “donotreply” email. If it’s in Mississauga I think the only was is through the web form

I went back into our emails and the only ones we received from the Case Processing Centre (ours was Ottawa) was: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca. We sent emails as 'replies' to that address and got responses that made a difference. Only scripted responses from the IRCC web form.

I had some luck with that email address when my app was in Ottawa, now that it’s not there they tell me to use the webform and I get the same response every time

Unfortunately, no. I did send an email to the CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca email address once back in May or June, but they replied saying the file was still in Mississauga. (Even though the SA email indicated it was being transferred to Ottawa...!)

Once you submit your application about how long after it is received is the medical exam information due? USA to CAN Outland spousal sponsorship.

We did everything upfront and sent the two applications together in one package by mail to Mississauga: one folder containing application for sponsor, one for applicant spouse, including all required documents, background checks, receipt for payment of fees, receipt for payment of upfront medical, photos and letters and other information proving relationship, etc. Many of the supporting materials were duplicated in the two applications. So everything was put together at one time and submitted all at once -- our two applications each in an accordion file folder, and the two folders together in the mailing package. (We kept photocopies of the complete contents of the two folders.) We had already completed the medical exam with the panel physician - we paid upfront for that and the physician sent examination results electronically around the same time we mailed in our applications. Sponsorship approved within about 8 weeks; we then just waited for applicant approval. They wrote to us twice over the year it took to get the approval, the first requesting documents regarding applicant's divorce, and another requiring furtherance medical.
