Does everyone receive that email?

Edit: Does everyone receive the email requesting additional documents be sent regardless, or is it sent only to those who are actually missing something? I'm just curious; my application went IP a week ago, but I haven't seen that email. I'm not sure if I should be looking for it, or if it potentially may never come.

They are all generic batch requests, you will see this if you order GCMS notes, they are sending these letters out before even accessing the application.

It makes me a little anxious, I've gotten the email for more documentation (Proof of residency in Canada, PR Fee if not paid, etc.) but my eCAS STILL hasn't updated to show Medicals received, should I be worried? Been in process since August 14th. Very frustrating to see people who filed mere days before or after you already landed, I'm so mentally finished with Government x_x All it does is make me think something was lost or something went wrong with my application.
..

You can always order case notes...that is how we found out our case sat for 9 months...

DECISION
MADE

(A decision has been made at this point.)

Medical Results Received by CIC
We have received your medical results. We will contact you only if additional tests are needed.

Approval Status Determined
Your application will be either approved or rejected. We will inform you of the decision in writing.

Permanent Residence Status Determined
If your application is approved, we will send you your permanent resident documentation and a letter saying what we need to finalize your permanent residence.

It states that on the Application details section
I read that as your results need to be received before a decision will be made, not a decision is made once your medical results are received. As others stated, our eCAS showed Medical Rec'd (and our case notes showed the medical was passed) for weeks/months before our application ever even went to In Progress, never mind Decision Made.

To be clear, I should have wrote "e-mail address". I corrected my post

No worries!

I just know that I've read people who do get an email requesting additional documents. I'm just trying to figure out if everyone receives that, of if it's case-by-case.

Ah yes, it seems to be the new standard to send out batch requests of these emails to everyone. They must have our applications sorted into groups and every person in a certain group will get the emails on the same day. I received the RPRF request email in mid-August and the FBI check one around the second week of September. My notes from September 11, however, state that only my medical check has been completed. No other checks and no visa officer has been assigned to my case (as of that date anyway). I'm not sure if I'm ready to order another set of notes yet. Just more disappointment I'm afraid. My ecas status changed to "in process" on August 21st with the in process date being April 8, the day my file was received in Ottawa. :p This uncertainty is giving me some mad anxiety. And well, I can't see a doctor because no OHIP. Lovely. Come on CIC!

Oi vey! The CIC never ceases to amaze me. Just when I think I've figured out their rhyme and reason, they throw a wrench in my theory. I'm now convinced they do whatever they darn well please!

So, I suppose I'll be on the look out for the RPRF email. Did it come to the sponsored person or the sponsor?

Ironically, I ordered my case notes the day prior to my ECAS changing to IP. I'll have to be on the lookout for an officer being assigned and anything other than my medical being completed among the notes. (It showed it was completed for first GCMS note I ordered.)

I'd like to be able to see a doctor, too. Come on, CIC. I'll get you all coffee IV drips.

Did your last set of notes state your file is in FCP-Inventory, got my most recent notes yesterday, file location changed to FCP PreCA so I'm wondering that could be a sign processing should happen any moment.

Ok, just looked again. My notes are actually from September 17 and they still had my file in FCP-Inventory. :( I should go ahead and order a new set. Were your notes later than Sept 17? I was hoping mine was in the same batch as yours.

I did notice a couple of other new things. There is a new section called "groups" and it says I'm in group# 2-J5L2P9K. I wonder if this indicates the "batch" I'm in. Does anyone else have the same number? Also, under the notes where it talks about the batch request emails for the RPRF it says "Incoming documents flipped from provided to received in bulk as eligibility is not started and file is not yet in process." That's odd since I went "in progress" on Aug 21 and it says I've been "in progress" since April 8. Make up your mind CIC. :p Also, the last two sets of notes have shown a visa officer assigned to my eligibility check, but it's still "not started."

The notes stated file was transferred to this new location on the 23rd of Sept.

Where do you see the groups section?

It's a section called "Associations" starts on page 24 of my notes, just before the "History" section.

I just checked mine, no such category in my notes.
