You're right. I will download it again. Thank you very much!

+1 for researching that before responding! I was too lazy...

Nothing to do with laziness/pro-activeness. Just didn't want to look like a smuck if I was wrong :P

Wouldn't it be nice if CIC published updates once a quarter, say on the 1st in an orderly fashion........... answered emails in a timely fashion...... and 1000 other issues.......... Sigh....!

If you downloaded the forms a few weeks ago, double check them! People have printed off the current form, filled it out, and by the time CIC opened it, it was wrong and their application was returned. It happened recently to a gentleman applying for citizenship. (Poor guy.)

Yes, I just checked all of them again. This one was almost the same as the old one with a change in the medical requirements. The rest of the forms are still the same as the ones I downloaded.

In one particularly galling example, a person's application was returned even though the forms changed after the application was submitted, because the application spent a looong time on an officer's desk and the officer didn't notice.

And yes, it would be nice if they responded to emails.

That would be nice if they would be as organized as we are :)

That and if the CIC call center agents knew the same thing about the process!

"The Call Centre told me....{enter incorrect info here}." Grrrrrrrr. Even worse when you try to help and they argue the "Call Centre said so." Okay, okay, have it your way. This IS officially Burger King......

Whenever there's an importing question I always think fondly of all the help you gave me OhCanadiana!! :) :-*

;D It was always my pleasure, parker24.

LANDED! We came yesterday (22 May) by auto and trailer to the Aldergrove, B.C. office (east of Vancouver, B.C. in dairy & blueberry country). The CIC officers were courteous and friendly, and processed all our paperwork in about 30 minutes or less. And we had a LOT of papers. My husband was retuning to Canada after a 20-year absence and importing a car. I had multiple pages of B4 declarations and we had 2 old cats (no one even looked at them--just made sure they had their rabies vaccinations).

Could not have been easier. The reference in my COPR to my expired passport just got a shrug and an "eh!" from the officer processing my immigration. AND NOW I'M A PERMANENT RESIDENT OF CANADA!

I'll have to look for a GIF or video of someone bouncing up & down with joy to add to my posts!

FOR REAL, I know, in the flat lands of Saskatchewan that's what ya get for "hills"!

i have obtained record of license from the state that i got my car license from but it doesn't say how long i have had the license. I wonder if that is enough to get Ontario license. Thanks.
