Especially considering there are people who have applied after us to the same office and are processed faster. What happened to processing in the order received lol........

Help please! After 7 -weeks my application for common law sponsor was returned. They have highlighted and stated in the letter that the Sponsors employment source and Notice of Assessment are missing and not complete.
Both were included in the application. The employment letter is from the HR provider her company uses and was signed and scanned her via email. It states the company name, how long she has been employed , that she is full time and salaried, her position and income.

The notice of Assessment is from 2016. What am I missing here?

It sucks that I lose pretty much 2 months of this process to this..

Sucks.....May be try getting the employment letter on the letter head and highlight the NOA.

I think they were looking for an original employment letter not a scanned copy. 2016 NOA or Option C should've been sufficient.

Is there a way for me to call and ask?
To confirm with an agent what they want exactly? Good luck. They weren't any help when my application was returned. I had to thoroughly review and guess what to fix because they only highlighted 'birth certificate'...

We applied on the same month and we are in the same boat.

I have an appointment with our MP on Thursday to get this resolved. It's ridiculous at this point. Eligibility check should NOT take 4+ months.
I recalled that out situations were similar. Eligibility should definitely not take 4+ months. I' wondering if someone just hasn't updated the CIC account (wishful thinking). I'm curious to see if anything transpires from you meeting tomorrow with the MP. In the meantime, I'm going to call IRCC again tomorrow, and confirm the location of our application.

Our MP called IRCC. IRCC told the MP that it is normal for eligibility to take 4 months. My app was transferred but I have been stuck since then. Mine transferred third week of May.

I assume they don't start eligibility until it's transferred.

My eligibility has been in progress now for about four months.
Ecas doesn't say so but MyCIC says it is.
More than one agent had said it's been started too.

We also haven't been transferred. We're still in mississuaga.

I did not think eligibility would take this long. Especially for a Canadian/American couple.

When I emailed Ottawa VO on June 29 they said my app was waiting in queue to be reviewed by an officer. After talking to the MP they confirmed my app is undergoing to eligibility portion

Hopefully this is all correct. Gives me hope my app has some movement

I've called and they've told me that our application is in eligibility review but we haven't been transferred.
So I'm lost with it all.

So I went to see my MP today.... well.... my MP's "case worker" and when I told her I applied in February she hung up the phone (we were in queue) and said that she won't call until it's been 12 months, and that the special phone line they call (even says it's for members of parliament) won't give them any information once they see that my application is only about 5 months old.

Well that was a waste of time and energy.

She even tried to tell me that applying inland is just as fast as applying outland... as an American coming to Canada.

At this rate, she'll probably be right.

She also said that my (and others stuck in the same spot as me) are probably sitting on someones desk, while they work on the more troublesome and lengthy applicants, and they'll get to us when they do.
