It's confusing in Canada (especially if you are a PR and are familiar with the US rules) because you can be a resident for one purpose but not for others.

I went onto the CIC sight today to check it out. I realized they didn't have my P.O. box listed, or my street name, but everything else was right...is this the case with everyone, or should I call in a make sure they have that all right. So far I have been getting everything via e-mail, but sure wouldnt want to get things lost in the mail.

You can change the address online. Instead of calling them once you log in you will see the option to do so

Haha I only called three, four times But EMAIL on the other hand, prob more like 9-10 times

I'm excited! My birthday is on Friday and I just told hubby "MAYBE THEY WILL SEND A LETTER ON FRIDAY!!" Him: *blank stare* ... It's my birthday dear... OH YEAH! ... men

1. IMM 5491 document checklist sponsor: for #18
I'm self-employed so they are asking for a "statement of business activities". Does that mean I have to fill out a form like a Canada Revenue Agency T2125 Statement of Business or Professional Activities specifically for the past 12 months - ie Aug 1, 2011 to July 31, 2012 (which does NOT correspond to my fiscal year which is the calendar year)? Including all of my expenses and capital costs etc.?

I had the exact same question. I phoned the call centre, he told me if I can not provide the statement of business activities for the past 12 months to add a note why you can't provide it and add as much other evidence you have. I made up a letter and explained and added the statement from 2011 and added my summary of profit & loss for 2012. However, now I have second thoughts, maybe I should fill out the T2125 statement for the preceding 12 months...

I think I'm finally ready to cry... I'm one of only a handful of May applicants left, and half of June is done... not to mention a bunch of PPRs in May (New Dehli), and even one in June from today! I want this to be done and over with. I was recently cut back dramatically on my at home work and I'm unable to make up the lost funds since I can't legally work... and can't get a work permit because I don't have a bachelor's degree. I know I have a long ways to go after sponsorship approval... but dangit, I could at least have that :|

I'm sorry to hear that. I know that feeling and we haven't even filed. It's hard to go through so much paperwork and work and $$$$ plus having to deal with the stress of dealing with a long distance relationship. Hang in there, I'm sure you'll have news soon.
