Wait, is your VO Ottawa or Mississauga? Your profile says Ottawa, but the 2015 spreadsheet says Mississauga, so I'm confused. Your DM would make a lot more since if you had Mississauga as your VO.monstergirly said:Logged in as sponsor (my husband) and as me (PA) and both sections say "Decision Made". It's Ottawa. I couldn't update the 2015 sheet - the cell is locked. I had originally put Mississauga before I knew the process.Panamai said:Wait, is your VO Ottawa or Mississauga? Done! Thanks MT 8) Next time I come across someone who leaves info like that up in their post I will remember to edit it out of my quote so as to not perpetrate what I was telling them to fix lol.. I didn't clue in to that, doh! :-[MantisToboggan said:The OP removed it in his post but it still shows in your quote of his post - don't forget to edit it out.

Does anyone know if I'll definitely get an email and not have to wait for something to come in the mail? I also didn't get any sort of notification of the change in ECAS - I just noticed when I randomly checked today.
If you forgot to include it that is an easy fix.. dont beat yourself up. just scan it and email them back.wingmands said:Just got a requestrian for additional documents, not sure how we overlooked including a copy of the marriage for my husband the principal applicant.
In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require

Am I wrong in assuming I am supposed to send a copy of the marriage certificate? As it does not specifically say send the original . Thanks for any input!
I'm no expert but I will answer to what I know and can attest to;madJ said:Hey everyone,
I wasn't sure were to post these questions, I hope it's ok here.
I'm a Canadian citizen and my fiancee is American. We'd originally planned for me to immigrate down there, in fact we've already sent in our application for a US K1 (fiance class) visa, and if all goes well I could get my visa by the end of the year. However, I have an interview for a really good job here in Canada next week. If all goes well and that I am offered this job, we might change our plans, withdraw our US petition, get married, and file for her PR in Canada instead. We've always been long-distance due to jobs/studies, but have managed to visit each other a lot.
Anyway, I am very familiar with the US side of things by now, but I'm a bit lost with the Canadian process and would appreciate if someone could help me out.
1) For outland visas, how long can we expect to wait from submitting the application to PR/entry? I'm seeing anywhere from 6 to 12 months, what are the most recent estimates?
2) I keep seeing something about Mississauga vs Ottawa. I imagine that is the office that processes the petition? Is one faster than the other, and what determines where your file goes? Does the file stay in Canada the whole time or does it get forwarded to a field office in the US at some point?
3) Will the US spouse have to travel to any office in the US for an interview or medical? If yes, at what point in the process does this usually take place?
4) Can the US citizen visit Canada while this process is ongoing? And a related question, say the process take 12 months. Could my (future) spouse move in with me for the last few weeks/months of the process, provided she doesn't work until she receives her PR?
Thanks!! ...If there's a thorough guide somewhere that answers these questions, feel free to point me to it!
I've been told that something like 1% of U.S. applicants, maybe even less, have to do interviews.madJ said:3) Will the US spouse have to travel to any office in the US for an interview or medical? If yes, at what point in the process does this usually take place?
