Just as an update I am still waiting on my husband's FBI report to come back. It was received by the FBI February 23, 2015 and we are still waiting. Our credit card hasn't been charged as of yet so they haven't processed his finger prints yet.
::)

I am hopeful it will be processed quickly.

Our FBI check took 18 weeks to come back. We submitted our request in early october, they charged my card in December and we didnt get the report until Feb.

Hang in there!!! It's a terrible wait, but they will send it along, I promise!!! Hopefully they have a better handle on it now than they did back when the computers changed back in september or whatever.

We got a weird email today. CIC and the Singapore VO has requested my wife send her passport for a permanent residence visa.

The problem: She's American, and hence from a visa-exempt country. She was processed in Ottawa. Her notes say a counterfoil is not required.

We are currently residing in Vietnam but she is an American Citizen with an American passport. We have had DM (April 25th) and we were expecting COPR letter....

We have already email back the VO asking what's happening? Any ideas? I will be calling the call center the next time the time-zones line up.

Just when you think you are in the clear....

thanks for the encouragement MrsHBKelly - 4 and 1/2 months is crazy! I will not complain than it has only been 11 weeks! ;D

Reading all of this made me want to reorder another FBI certificate while my application is in the queue 8)

Have you tried calling for an update? Things seemed to speed up once I started calling them.

The worst part about the whole thing was it was my 2nd certificate request. Before they changed the system I requested one last June and we recieved it in 6 weeks. We were ready to submit in October and had to wait until March. ugh.

First wedding anniversary is next Sunday. All I want is SA.

I'm seriously half debating throwing my husband into the Express Entry route.

I am about to throw myself in there also!

Seeing all these people from September with no movement on their applications really make me worry about the app I just filed. Guess I should settle in the for long haul and think it really make take 10 or more months.

We submitted the FBI check results in November (delayed due to new FBI computer system being installed), after we'd submitted the rest of the package on Oct. 29. SA was granted in January. On ECAS, it shows SA, but for my spouse, only application and medical received -- no mention of the FBI results being received. No update on her status since SA in January. ECAS says don't contact them until status changed to "In Process." Is it usual for there to be a four-month lag between SA, and applicant's status being changed to "In Process?" Wish we could get confirmation from CIC that they've received the FBI check results and added them to the application. All we have is the UPS receipt that it was sent (at a cost of $55.00 for one piece of paper!) I will be SOOO P.O.'d if they've misplaced it and we have to wait another four months to get another one, as the FBI received the prints and application last August.

Call CIC call centre and tell them that you want to make sure the FBI clearance was received and logged into the system.

It is perfectly normal for the PR part to only say "application received" .... I applied in Sept 2014. I didn't hear anything until May 06 and it was them requesting the FBI clearance that they of course didn't bother to check I had already sent in.

When I called the call centre they told me that they could see in the system that the FBI check was not logged in as received. So if yours was logged in they would be able to tell you. I hope that helps.

Thanks, Mariac819. Tried phoning, but it was after 5 p.m.EST, so call did not go through. Will try again Tues. a.m. If they have no record of receiving FBI check results, I may scan and email the copy we have and see if that will buy back the time we may have lost. We are both 66 years old and we're not getting any younger while we wait!

Is the Ottawa spreadsheet no longer being updated? No one on it has landed since April 27

Are you looking at the right spreadsheet?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aq6VF-LGjkR9dGNpLUxQZ1Z0Mm80aE5ZWDBvWklEQUE#gid=0

This one shows people who have gotten DM in the last 2 weeks.
